I'm reading Ways to Influence Your Favorite Author to Quit Stalling and Finish His Damn Series Already, in preparation of hunting down George R. R. Martin and making him finish Dance with Dragons.
Aside from that, I'm rereading my way through my library. Eddings (Belgariad, Mallorean, Elenium, Tamuli), Salvatore (Drizzt stuff, Cleric Quintet), Pratchett, Gibson (Cyberpunk), and Jacqueline Carey (Kushiel Trilogies).
I'm dreading picking up the Kushiel Trilogies again. Those books rip my goddamned heart out every few pages, step on it with high heels, then take flechettes to it the way Melisandre uses them on Phaedre. Every time I try, I have to put them back down - they're that good, that I don't want to put myself through that heart-rending emotional roller coaster again.
Also, part of my way of preparing myself for the last half of NaNoWriMo, in which I'll load myself up with inspiration via reading all those books during the first two weeks, then using the last two weeks to go into a flurry of writing.
