Weird Tales.  I's a collection of short stories from teh old pulp magazine of the same name.

Didn't Robert E. Howard (of the Conan the Barbarian titles, Solomon Kane, etc)...I was actually reading a great big giant f-off collection of the Conan the Barbarian stuff (I believe it was called The Complete Chronicles of Conan up till just a bit ago.

Right now I'm taking a break from that and am reading The Sunrise Lands by S.M. Stirling. Sort of the fourth in a series, kind of post-apocalyptic stories of survival and rebuilding after The Change, an event which, for unexplained reasons, causes explosives, electricity, steam power, nuclear power, basically any high-energy technology no longer works...It's actually quite interesting, if you're into that. The first book is called Dies the Fire.

Just started reading the Earthsea cycle by Ursula K. LeGuin.

I remember reading those, vaguely. I should look for them again, they were pretty good.

Earthsea, huh? *heads to Amazon* Hmm...I'll have to add that series to my "to read" list. It will be a while since it's behind re-reading the Hyperion series and the Coldfire trilogy, but it looks good.

I've heard nothing but good about the Earthsea stuff, so when I found the first four books at my local used bookstore, I had to jump on it.  :D

Re-reading Patriot Games, by Tom Clancy.  I had forgotten how good his writing is.

The Mind of God by Paul Davies
The Character of Physical Law by Richard Feynman (kinda)
 - It's actually a pretty good book, despite the title.  Although, it's obviously heavily based in physics.

Death in the Long Grass by Peter Capstick.  There is no better hunting author than Capstick, who will readily explain that the most important skill of a dangerous game hunter is the ability to climb trees REALLY FAST.

I rather enjoyed reading the background for the "Shadow Magic" in the appendix, though. Gave me some good ideas for how never to design a magic system. Truenaming doesn't even appear in the copy I purchased. At least they got something right at the publishers...

"The Long Dark Tea Time of The Soul" for me, by Douglas Addams. Just read "Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency" so I thought I'd read the sequel.

I've also got bookmark in both "The Compelte Chronicles of Conan", and "Lankhmar", a collection of Fitz Leiber short stories.
