There's no roll for Lay on Hands... You just spend a healing surge, and the target gets its healing surge value back.
You also get to add 3 to that.
I'd like to note that JM's mark will supercede Hughes's mark.
All of you see Skarrandar move quickly and place his hands on the grievous wounds of the guardsman. The dragonborn disciple whispers a prayer to Bahamut, and his hands begin to emit a faint, silvery radiance.
Skarrandar pauses for a moment, letting the mystical power work, then rises from his crouched position.
He then invokes Bahamut's power and cries out for Bahamut to help him render justice onto these beasts.
My Turn:
Eric, unless you clarify, I'm going to assume you choose not to use the shift 2 that you could have used.
After falling under Skarrandar's platinum gaze, the kobold sandwiched between Darius and Telchar decides that tempting Bahamut (as his friend did) isn't a great idea, and spends some time, carefully positioning himself a little further away from the violent dwarf.
The kobold in the narrow alleyway toward the north starts at Skarrandar's cry of justice, but quickly regains his wits and takes advantage of Carric's quick glance backward. He thrusts his spear forward, as he steps backward, and manages to put a nasty cut on Carric's hip.
Carric takes 7 damage.
The last kobold, tired of trying to wait around in the shadows hurls himself at Darius, taking advantage of the half-elf's inability to guard himself on both sides.
The rapid attack catches Darius by surprise, and the tip of the kobold's spear buries itself in Darius's leg.
The kobold quickly pulls it out and leaps backward, before Darius has a chance to aim a strike at the runt.
You take 10 damage, and he shifts away.
