Since my character has been traveling for a while, he's observed some hand motions which he thinks are helpful. Especially when sneaking about, and whatnot.
Holding one's arm to the side, arm up (~90-degrees):
- up/down pumping motion: get here quickly
- index finger extended, and forearm rotated (as if doing a sarcastic "whoop-de-do"): fall in, slowly
- closed fist: someone's here, stop
- open palm: something's here (trap/animal, etc), stop
- holding up {x} fingers: {x} hostiles visible; if this is followed by pointing in a particular direction, it indicates hostiles in a given area
Holding one's arm to the side, arm outward (~180-degrees):
- lowering the hand/forearm: crouch, or otherwise lower yourself
- raising the hand/forearm: stand
- moving the arm backward in a sweeping motion: place your backs to the wall
- moving the arm foreward in a sweeping motion: safe to move forward; if done rapidly, come quickly
Once we meet up, we can come up with others we might find important, etc. Figure it'd be nice to have some kind of silent communication method.
