Why is "wedding" in quotes?

I would think that not saying anything would have been better...

I'm guessing it's a "wedding" in the sense that the bride and groom are the same gender.

Though that's a shot in the dark on my part.

Beautiful.  Got really chilly Sat. night though and we weren't expecting that.  But it was clear, bug-free for a few hours (which is a huge deal) and very awesome.  I saw a loon and found a snapping turtle hole with 5 dried up baby snapping turtles.

I'm sunburned though :(  Damn Irish skin rejects sunshine...  :mad

I saw a loon...
Of course, you already said Zeke went with you...

and found a snapping turtle hole with 5 dried up baby snapping turtles.
Aww, poor turtles.  Actually snapping turltes are nasty little buggers, we had a pond that was infested with them when I as growing up.  Do you have pictures?

Hey!  I'm from Maine!  It's awesome there!
Funny story (well, maybe not), I went on a trip with a guy from Maine once.  We took his car.  Other people from Maine kept driving up beside us and waving, like they expected us to know them or something.

Very strange, especially for a New Yorker...

You should try going during winter (my favorite season).  The beaches aren't open then, but snow and skiing (both downhill and XCountry) are more then adequate a trade off.  Unlike Iowa and IN, when Maine gets snow, Maine gets snow.  And it stays for more than a day.
