Q49:  This might seem glaringly obvious to most of you, but could someone explain to me why in almost every build I see for a Bard/Sublime Chord/Virtuoso, it goes something like bard9/virtuoso1/SC2/virtuoso8?  Why the first level of Virtuoso by itself?  I've been reading, and I don't see why that level of virtuoso can't be taken at the same time as the rest of them.

A49. Sublime Chord needs 10 levels to get into. Why take Bard 10/Sublime Chord 2/Virtuoso 8? Doing so, you'd only get Sublime Chord casting of a 9th level SC. If you instead go Bard 9/Virtuoso 1/Sublime Chord 2/Virtuoso 8, you'd get all 10 casting levels of a Sublime Chord. It's optimization at its finest. We minimize the loss (Virtuoso 1 and 10 levels of non-SC) and maximize the gain (SC casting 10).
The cake is a lie.

Q50: What is the effective handedness (for Power Attack purposes, if it matters) of a normally two-handed weapon when wielded in place of a natural weapon via the Mouthpick enhancement?

A 50. The rules are silent on this issue. Natural attacks, like a bite, don't really address "handedness", they merely reflect what can add 1/2, normal, or 1-1/2 times str to damage. The safest bet is to assume the mouthpick weapon is treated as whatever hand it should be, light, 1H, or 2H. You could also argue that a 1H should count as a 2H is it's the only weapon that creature uses, since bite attacks used when they are the only weapon get 1.5 Str. Either way, it's up to your DM.
The cake is a lie.

I'm thinking along the lines of a shifter ranger with the Longtooth trait and the two-weapon combat style wielding a pair of falchions, I suppose that doesn't help the handedness complexity any.

Q51: The Haunting Melody feat (HoH and ECS) says, "When you sing or use some other Perform skill...", you can force your enemies to save or be shaken. Now, If a Bard/ Seeker of the Song (CA) used the Combine Songs ability for, say, Inspire Courage and Inspire Competance (not optimal, but just an example), would he be able to trigger the Haunting Melody feat twice (once for each song) or not?

Q52 Does the Uncanny Forethought feat (Exemplars of Evil) allow you to trade prepped spells for its spontaneous casting? (Sorry, I don't have the book with me, otherwise I'd look it up myself).

A52 No. You have to reserve spell slots (i.e. leave them empty) to use Uncanny Forethought.

A 50:I think the simplest solution for you is to simply take the multiweapon fighting feat tree (treating your mouthpick as the primary), and a houseruled oversized multiweapon fighting feat. That should basically cover what you want to do and is pretty straight forward from a rules standpoint.

A 51: I would say it works. You're expending two uses of bardic music, thus triggering the feat twice.

A54 addendum:  Note that in Eberron, clerics are not prohibited from casting spells opposed to their alignments.  And Hellbred have a racial ability to ignore such restrictions.

Q56

this maybe stupid of me to ask... im hoping im not right..

half orc sorc 1 /HO paragon 3/Orc Paragon3/dragon disciple 9

has 2 race dependent paragons..

Improved darkvision (+30ft.), no light sensitivity, Elf slayer,Ability boost (Str +2) Divided ancestry, monstrous mien, Rage 1/day, Ability boost (Str +2)

at DD 10, your type changes to dragon. do you loose your paragon features? i think you do, but it would be nice for someone to say you dont.. :)

A 56: If you wanted to get really nitpicky, race can almost be treated as a subtype. Becoming a dragon doesn't affect your race. Thus, you keep your paragon levels.
