Seattle: city of shadow
« on: August 04, 2008, 07:08:13 PM »
My d20 modern players have decided to settle in Seattle and set up a private detective agency. Now even though i live just down the road in Idaho, i know nothing of Seattle because i'm acctually an east coast kid lol. So i was wondering if anyone had any input that may help me flesh out my setting, especially the darker, more supernatural aspects of it.

Although it's set in the near future, take a look at as many Shadowrun books as you can.  There is a ton of Seattle information and sites you can easily modify and use that is pre-existing.  This will help you save a ton of time.  Hope that helps.

Watch shows like the X-Files and Supernatural.  Both are filmed in Vancouver, not Seattle, but they're extremely similar.  If you're thinking of including some kinda oriental theme (monsters in Chinatown, for example), look no further than Big Trouble in Little China.
