If we're going for the evil party, I was oriented towards a Dinosaur Animating Cleric going for sovereign speaker maybe.

i will probly go some sort of crusader/warblade. or possibly a bone knight build... idk. its all up in the air right now. i just know i dont want to be a full caster... im also considering making a super mount character or a demoralizer. thoughts?

I think for now, everything's pretty open.

We don't know any of the specific character creation rules the DM might decide to use, the alignment of the party, what the others are doing and if we're looking for a precise theme for our party.

Just do what you like best, that always works.

I'm interested as a Master of Many Forms. Don't know how much I will be able to contribute on Epic Levels though, but I'm VERY interested in playing a MoMF. I've been wanting to play a MoMF for years.

Wild Shape Ranger 5/MoMF 10/Nature's Warrior 5 to be precise.
I'd write down my stats in a spoiler block every time I take a new shape, so that you don't have to keep track of anything ;)

I don't care if it's an Evil or Good campaign, just as long as it is not a Chaotic Evil campaign. Or at least I won't be CE. I can't play CE seriously.

I posted my possible builds in the beginning (I'm SO in btw).

I think my preference is the anima mage, but I could go either really.

EDIT:  I could also theoretically go with Incarnum... what's the ruling of the interaction btw Incarnum Apotheosis and Midnight Metamagic?

Love demoralizer builds, as you know.  :D  Speaking of Sovereign Speaker, Crusader or Warblade --> Divine Crusader --> Sovereign Speaker is a great combo, and you're epic ready w/ 9th-level spells.  (I know you said no full caster, but...)

If we're not doing evil, I have another idea (I always have 24589730256987 ideas), which is a Knight of the Weave - Ultimate Magus build.

If we choose to be the good guys I could go for a Shield Bashing-Battle Casting Paladin or for a Wild Hunt flavoured Ranger, with maxed Handle Animals or I might even try the full support character... Something along the lines of Bard, War Weaver, stuff like that.

Is moderate amount of optimization required? I'm thinking about beguiler/incarnate/soulcaster. If it's too weak, I can dip prestige bard/sandshaper for better spell list.

After dealing with spell list, I switched to straight binder. Simpler.

I'm glad you guys are exited. :D Anyway, for character creation rules, I thought that I'd probably go with a 32 point buy. As I said, starting ecl 15. If you want to play nonstandard races, that's fine, though I'd prefer it if you stayed away from the iconic outsiders (angels, demons, etc.). Again, I reserve veto power, but I doubt I'll use it. :D Just run it by me and I'll probably allow it unless I can think of a good reason not to. I thought you guys wanted an evil game, but it doesn't have to be one by any means. I'll let you all decide that.

I will advise you not to make your characters too one sided. You can probably get away with specialized offensive abilities if you're clever about it, but you really don't want to leave any holes in your defenses. At higher lvls of play, you can expect any intelligent enemies that are aware of your existence to spy and/or scry on you and prepare to take advantage of your weaknesses, unless you have some way to prevent them from doing so. :devil

What are your policies on (a) LA buyoff and (b) bloodlines?

Still interested here; my experiences with the FR setting made me not like it, but this is somewhat biased, so I'll give it another try. I'm not too comfortable with Epic play, but I guess I can try to deal with all the broken.

Notes chargen: what about dragon/dungeon magz? what about Traits & Flaws (none, 1, 2, more..? :p)? Refluffing of things from other campaign settings, if possible?

Thank you for reminding me, because epic lvl play will inevitably become totally broken, I would ask that everyone go over the errata and 3.5 updates so that we can try to hold off on the brokenness as long as possible. :D

to Shiki: As to the other concerns, I use the mags a lot myself, so I'll probably allow anything you can find in them. I will continue my previous theme however and ask you to run it by me first. As for stuff from other campaign settings, I said earlier that if you run it by me I'll probably allow it unless I can think of a good reason not to. Most of the stuff that they put in campaign specific material really has no reason that it shouldn't work in other settings, even if it is designed for one in particular. As for traits and flaws, you may have one of each, but remember what I said about not leaving holes in your defenses.

to sirpercival: If you mean the bloodlines from Unearthed Arcana, then I'll allow them, but rather than using the bloodline lvls at 3rd, 6th, and 12th, just have the bloodlines have an la of 1,2, or 3 depending on the strength. It makes things much simpler, and it won't screw you at lower lvls because we're starting at ecl 15 anyway. As for LA buyoff, I'm not sure what you mean, so you'll have to explain it to me before I can say yes or no.

I'm ok either way.  Too many character concepts to choose from...  :shakefist

I'll compile them again here.

Evil party:
1) Binder 5/Ur Priest 2/Anima Mage 8 (-->X 5)
2) Warlock 5/Binder 1/Ur-Priest 2/Eldritch Disciple 7 (-->ED +2/Hellfire Warlock 3)

Non-evil party:
1) Wizard 3/Master Specialist 2/Knight of the Weave 1/Ultimate Magus 9 (-->UM +1/X 5)

Either way:
2 or 3) Illumian Binder 1/Wiz 1/Anima Mage 5/Incantatrix 8 (--> I +2/Totemist 2/Soulcaster 1)
Burn all the microfiche!  Firebomb all the 8-tracks!

I'm not just a druid -- I'm a singing, dancing, Broadway druid.

Preaching to the choir, there  :banghead

Getting a little more specific, for me would be...

Evil:

1) Cleric 15

Non-evil:

1) Paladin Still need to find a progression that I like. Fist of Raziel maybe.
2) Ranger 5/Harper Paragon 4/Wild Plains Outrider 2/Seeker of the Misty Isle 1/Ranger 3

Other:

1) Whisper Gnome Rogue 5/Mountebank 3/Chameleon x/Charlatan x  I'm extremely inexperienced in this field so I'd have to really study it, but seems extremely fun to play.

So currently I think about:

a) Binder 15,
b) Binder 6/KoSS 5/Scion of Dantalion 4 (if bloodline EBL abuse is allowed).

Throwing my hat in the ring if it's not full yet. I'm fine with either party alignment, I'll do a mockup for good/evil/neutral and we'll see how it goes.

EDIT: curious about what powerlevel to run at. sirper's Illumian Binder 1/Wiz 1/Anima Mage 5/Incantatrix 8 is going to blow almost anyone else out of the water, especially martial characters, unless we are Spelldancers, Thrallherds and Planar Shepards.

I have a question regarding equipment. Standard wealth by level I assume?

What are your opinion on the MiC rules for adding common item effects as per 233-234?
I'm thinking of taking a (A good armor of some sort) and Robe of the Vagabond from Comp. Champion and add a few AC, Save and Constitution bonuses to them. I'd like to avoid getting bonuses from multiple items such as cloaks, tunics, rings, amulets etc. since I'll have to attach a Wild Clasp to each and everyone of them.
