Kara
"I had hoped to travel in a couple of years and see the world my Pa told me about. But I can't let that lunkhead go by myself, now can I?" the halfling girl gestured to Boon, while letting out a wild smile. "A real adventure...I can't wait!"
It always seems like the barrels around here have something in them.

Legion says with a monotone, mechanical voice. "I had hoped that Kyle's Master could help me find answers about my past. Now that she is no longer... available... investigating this stone might be my best hope, since I recognized the writing from my dreams."

Then he looks at Kyle, and then Gilgrim, and says "Besides... I owe you two for restoring me. Where you go, I will follow, and aid you as I can."

Kyle turns to Legion and with a smile says: Thanks, friend. You'll see, we'll unveil the mysteries about your past, together.

Legion tries to smile back, but his mechanical draconic mouth isn't really designed to make such gestures. So it winds up looking more like a wild animal bearing its teeth as a threat...

As an afterthought, Legion says "I would like to equip myself with some armor and weapons, if we are to set out. Would that be possible? Perhaps that... dead guy... had something I could use?"
If we can just say that that guy happened to have the gear I have listed for Legion (on his horse or something), that would be convenient. :P
I assume I will see them when they leave, or they will see me?

((Yes, when they leave you'll see each other.

For everyone else: so you guys are going to take the horse and go?  I wasn't sure if you were still discussing or if we should move on.))

"I'm pretty much ready to go; I'm already in my travelling cloak, and aside from keeping my sword honed and getting road supplies, there's not much I know to bring otherwise. If you need arms, Legion... might be a few swords I was forging as a project back at the smithy. Torr is probably drunk or asleep or both by now, I doubt very much he'd notice if my lesson-work went missing, since he barely notices when it's there..."

Boon

"When I was stabling the horse I noticed his saddle said it was from a Stables in Silverhaven... I guess that could be a good start." he looks over to Isaac " We should take as much supplies with us as possible. Maybe we should split into two groups? One group goes and grabs food and things for the journey, the other takes Legion and grabs him some equipment? Then we could meet up by the big tree in around 15mins?" Boon pauses for a second. " Also we need to grab Willow on the way out of town... Im pretty sure he will want to come along " he looks back to the stables. " I wonder how the adults would feel if we borrowed a wagon? We could use that mans horse to pull it..... :devil " Boon gets a mischievious grin on his face as he waits for some input on his plan

"I can take Legion easily enough; the more people gathering supplies, the faster we get out of here. We'll be back in 15!" With that, Isaac gives Legion a nod and starts for the door, trying to not appear he is in too much of a rush, just in case any of the adults are watching.

Snowy, who stayed silent a good part of the discussion, gets up from what she sat on and says "Whatever the reasons you guys give yourself for leaving town, I'm pretty much in. Things have become quite annoying around these parts, more so than before; things here meaning the geezers. It's quite sad someone had to die for anything to change around Springley Downs though... Oh, and.." as she talks she takes and opens her bag to have a look inside and continues on with "..I'm already prepared to leave. Also, before I came to this village, I lived all my life in the wilderness so, while I'm not particularly experiencied, I could try to guide our steps, but it may be better to get a map, eh..."

Kara
Kara had already disappeared, arriving at her Pa's house. Well, what was left of it. She had cleaned it regularly during the past 7 years while waiting for his return, but had been greatly slacking lately as the cobwebs reminded her. The more she came to accept the fact that he wasn't coming home, she less she maintained the house. Why bother? She had been lodging with Coman and Frissa anyway. But still, the place had too many memories...

Taking some of her dad's old traveling gear and dusting it off, she said to the air, "Sorry Pa...I couldn't wait for you. But maybe someday we'll see each other again." Putting what she needed in her bag, she made her way back to the others in time for their departure.

Boon

Boon heads back into the stables and gets the travelers horse ready. He then hooks up the Squire Mainor's wagon to the steed and brings it around to the meeting spot at The Big Tree.
Along the way he keeps an eye out for Willow, upon seeing him sitting under a tree Boon will wave him over and fill him in.

((leaving it up to others to grab supplies. i got the transportation  :devil))

Gilgrim

He has always been ready to leave from the beginning.  Heading off with the Kyle (so he doesn't kill himself by tripping into his own spells) Gilgrim is ready to do whatever is needy to protect more deaths.

Kyle

Excellent, looks like we got everything sorted out.

Kyle goes out, looks at the starry sky and inhales the fresh evening air and then it hits him: he had no idea of what he was doing.

What am I doing? Setting on adventures? With no competent supervision whatsoever? And of course, let's not forget about Legion and his strange dreams. We don't even know him. What if he goes on the fritz and starts incinerating us in our sleep? And that stone. God that stone. How long before other undead come looking for it? We're dead, we're so dead.

The stable moment of the young human was bound to come to an end.

Believe.

After picking out a longspear, morning star, and a wooden shield, Legion manages to put together a suit of armor from some scraps of other armors which will fit around his oddly shaped form while still leaving his wings free. He looks up to Isaac and says "Thank you. I am ready for travel."

You all collect your things, sneaking around the town pretty easily since it seems like all the adults were exhausted.  You harness the dead man's horse to Squire Mainor's wagon, and the 9 of you head out of town.

You hit your first obstacle when you arrive at the river.  The ferry is on the other side, and to cross you'll have to ring the bell to summon Welton, who is a member of the Council... unless you can think of a better way to get the ferry.
How far across is the river? And are there any tallish trees nearby? I think Legion could probably glide over and bring the ferry back, using his wings.
Legion--
((Good call.  You'll need about 75 feet of height to get all the way across the river, but you don't think the trees by the bank are going to be able to support your weight that high up.  You could make it to the island in the center no problem, but then you'd be stuck unless you can swim -- there are no trees on it.))
((I guess I should probably let you know that there is a rope stretching across the river, so the ferrymen can pull it across...))
