Boosting Shadow Evoc/Conj ... Resources & Gear
« on: October 03, 2011, 03:32:59 AM »
God Wizards who are *NOT* Killer Gnomes like to use and abuse Shadow Conjuration / Evocation and the Greater Shadow Conjuration / Evocation spells too ...

Let's say we have a strong Wizard build that is not a Killer Gnome Shadowcrafter.

Is there a comprehensive list of resources (magic gear and feats) that this Wizard can acquire so his or her Shadow spells can be much more powerful than 20% [standard] or 60% [greater]?

Possibly as a secondary or tertiary cool way of being Godlike from the Wizard's primary schtick (say, doing the Incantatrix or IotSV thing).  While it may not be cost effective to have all these magic items, spells and/or feats ... at least some of them may be acquisition-worthy.  And cranking up that 60% up to 90% or 100% may be worth it for certain spells in a secondary role for said wizard.

Thank you!

Enhanced shadow reality feat from dragon 325 is a usual go to. Except it requires that you're an illusionist so not so much in this case.

Surely just pumping your DCs so that the shadow spells aren't disbelieved would be enough?

Planar Bubble Shadow Plane, Collar of Umbral Metamorphosis or the Shadow/Dark templates?

Thanks for the info, folks.   :)  Very helpful ...

I could've sworn there was another feat or magic item that boosted "Shadow Reality" by 10% or so.

Perhaps it was a 3rd party D20 publisher?
