Actually, i read about the runestaff and it is said that it's fuelled via arcane magic. Is there somewere an errata or something which said that divine magic can fuel it also?
I think you could use it if you had the Magic domain, as half your levels count as wiz/sorc levels. I don't think it specifices that you have to sacrifice arcane spell slots to fuel it, does it?
I think he wants Divine version because he wants to use DMM...

Well it's not necessary for the DMM it's just that it is written in MiC runestaves are fueled by arcane. But english is not my native language so maybe i missed some parts which say that divine can be used tu fuel them.

Heh, I just checked the book...it *does* say you have to sacrifice arcane spells/slots.

Ok but has it is said :

Quote
By expending a prepared divine spell or divine spell slot, the wielder can "cast" a spell of the same level or lower from the runestaffs list, as long as that spell also appears on the wielder's divine class spell list (including his domain lists, if any).

So, i guess i need then a UMD check because if i have the Domain Staff which include Time Stop or the one wich include Shapechange, i still won't have them in my spell list. Is that right?
Yep. It's like UMDing a scroll to claim the spell in on your Spell List.

Didn't pay enough attention to know Runestaffs require an arcane spell slot, guess I better learn what the heck the name of the Divine ones is at some point...

DOMAIN STAFFS
A domain staff allows its wielder to use his own divine energy to generate magical effects. Each domain staff holds the nine spells associated with a particular cleric domain. By expending a prepared divine spell or divine spell slot, the wielder can "cast" a spell of the same level or lower from the runestaffs list, as long as that spell also appears on the wielder's divine class spell list (including his domain lists, if any).

Again, why bother UMDing normal staffs when you can UMD these and then apply DMM?

Also, Persisting Time Stop may not work.  I heard 2 rulings on that.

1) Time Stop's duration is virtual time, but the spell is really instantaneous and can't be persisted.
2) Time stop gives you 1D4+1 rounds and lasts for 24 hours.  So you are frozen in time and get a round every few hours.

Because Domain Staff are locked to a Domain and are uneditable. Time Stop and Shapechange are both 9th level spells thus impossible for a domain Staff to obtain. You can pick up the Transformation's Domain of spells in a Domain Staff, and pick up the other with one of the offers for Feats.

And this one guy was somewhat misleading as he kept saying runestaff, runestaff, runestaff since he never really paid attention to the name of the divine versions. Now that we know about the typeof spell slot check it is creating some problems. For some reasons I bet he is off of cloud coocooland thinking Southen Magincian would would since it does say "arcane spell". I wonder if anyone would support or debunk that idea if he brought it up though...

Ah right, you can only be attuned to one at a time.  Well at least for DMM persisting Shapechange, this works perfectly.  Extra hoops needed for Time Stop which, as I mentioned before, really shouldn't be persistable.

Edit: Take 1 level of PrC paladin to add Favor of the Martyr to your list, then use greater anyspell to spam celerity.  Arguably more broken than Time Stop.

Well, i don't have acces to PHB2 for celerity.

For Time Stop, i just wanted to be able to use it, not to persist it. But as i read it, i think i can use a Domain Staff which gives Shapechange, persist it and then use one which gives Time Stop for the rest of the day. But Shapechange was the most important thing for my little kobold.
Plus, the Reptilian Domain gives Greater Magic Fang which is the cherry on the cake.

So far, i think my build will be :

Cloistered Cleric 1
CC 2
CC 3
CC 4
CC 5
Dweomkeeper 1
Dk 2
Divine Diciple 1
DD 2
DD 3

I think i will go for the Cloitered because BAB doesn't matter for permanent Divine Power and armor doesn't follow with Polymorh/Draconic Polymorph/Shapechange. Or maybe there is some feat for this? I just know the one for wildshape.

Get the Rainbow Falls magical location so you only need to cast that Shapechange every 3 days. Apply a MM Rod of Extend to it to make it every 6 days. :D
