Dark Heresy
« on: August 07, 2011, 07:37:51 PM »
Anyone interested in playing (OR GMing) Dark Heresy?

I know its in poor taste to go around asking for people to run games for you but I have been reading the Ravenor Omnibus and have a real itch to play it myself (I have an interesting concept for a techpriest) and if we got a couple of players willing to rotate GMing (or one person willing to do it all) it could be a lot of fun for a play by post.

The big bonus is that there are a decent number of pre-written modules so GMing isn't all that hard.

Anyway, thoughts?

I WANT TO PLAY!

I have all of the books at my disposal, however I don't feel comfortable running the system.

I'd also want to play  ;) Have the books, but never played it, so I don't feel quite able to GM sadly.

Posting interest as a player. However, 40k isn't my strong side GM'ing, so I would not really opt for that.

Heh, dna would be referring to myself and my friend. Yes I'm a huge fan of 40k, currently running a DH game and a Deathwatch game IRL. I could run a Dark Heresy game I suppose. So yah, if anyone knows a website that does that stuff let me know, I've never GM'd on this site before but I'm sure dna could give me the ins-and-outs of it.

http://www.malleus.dk/Ordo/NpcGenerator/Default.aspx has a good character generator, you need to register otherwise it times out constantly though.
You also need to set your character sheets to public to share them and then need to find them in the archive to get a working link.

Lol, is that the site you gave me? Oops, I probably forgot to write it down.

Anyways I can GM the game, though you'll have to tell if you want to do a Dark Heresy game or a Rogue Trader game, up to you guys, just not Deathwatch. I'm not experienced enough in that to feel comfy DMing it online yet.

I'm officially interested, just be aware that I've never played before so I won't really know what I'm doing for a bit.

I'm up for some Dark Heresy
Every generation has a teen heartthrob made for 16 and Tiger Beet magazine.

You can go back many years and there was a guy named Donny Osmond who probably every male teenager wanted to kick the crap out of. Leif Garrett, David Cassidy, The Mmm Bop kids, Justin timberlake, on and on.

This Bieber kid is just another of many over-hyped kids created? by the music machine geniuses to give them someone to grace the covers of 16 magazine and to get little teen girls excited. Random Youtuber
http://brilliantgameologists.com/boards/index.php?topic=12901.msg436473#msg436473

dna1 made this to choose Rogue Trader or Dark Heresy, vote here, also I'm only taking a maximum of 5 players so if there is more than five I'll have to cut down to a the limit.

People who are in for sure

Littha -> she made the post asking about it so it would be rather rude not to include her.
dna1 -> he created the choice posting and is a friend irl.
einherjar -> also a friend irl who asked me DM this if possible.

So there are effectively two spots remaining, basically I was thinking first come first serve unless I have good reason to do otherwise.
