A Non-Shadowcasting Noctumancer is a decent 2 level dip if you're using the adaptation. You can get in after only 3 class levels, so it's probably not replacing anything important. In exchange, you get an immediate action counterspell 1/day and a small CL boost whenever you dispel a spell.

My ubercaster Mind Mage with an extended Dweomer of Transference (as even in rounds/level, Persisting it will only decrease the duration) and a Planar Bubble to the 10:1 plane.  And a Celerity/Anticipatory Strike/Synchronicity/Affinity Field loop just in case.
