Q 46

Are there any feats that give your Animal Companion plant-like traits or are otherwise supposed to make it plant-like?

Dr#357 has Plant Companions on page 90. Seemingly it's an ACF.

Q47: How can I enchant a shurikan to get some kind of returning? (the Returning-ability from DMG sucks since it only returns to the square the thrower was at the last turn, also it doesn't allow full attacks)
While the Teleporting ability is flat-out superior to Returning (same price, doesn't need line of effect to return and always returns to you), there is no point in enchanting a shuriken with it as it's destroyed the first time it hits.
Aurorum (BoED).

I believe shuriken are metal and aurorum is wood.
I am constantly amazed by how many DM's ban Tomb of Battle.  The book doesn't even exist!

Uhh... I'm pretty sure aurorum is a metal...

If you play a psionic character, you can just manifest telekinetic boomerang (Races of the Wild).

Q48 Can the spell cloud of knives (PHB2) be repeated/twinned/cast more than once, so I can get 2 knives out each round?

Q49 Like Snowcasting, is there any feat that adds other energy descriptors to a spell?

Q50 Is there a feat that allows a caster to convert a higher level spell slot into multiple lower level slots?

Isn't Alacritous Cogitation the feat that allows a Wizard to spontaneously cast something? I remember seeing it used to cast Apocalypse from the Sky...

A 49: Energy Admixture adds damage and a descriptor of a second energy type. It doubles the damage, but costs 4 slots above normal. Born of Three Thunders turns a spell with either of electricity or sonic into both and adds a chance to stun and knock prone, but it dazes you for a round (no spell slot adjustment).

A 50: Arcane Manipulation breaks down up to 3 spell slots per day.

@Q50: There's a feat that let's you devide any spell slot into more lower-level spell slots, but the sum of levels has to be the same (f.e. lvl 4 = lvl 2 + lvl 1 + lvl 1). But I don't remember name or book. It was said in a wizard guide (I think on giantitp) that it would be nice with a ring of wizardry but I can't find the guide.

Q51: What happens to an necropolitan psion's hit points and hit dice when he uses metamorphosis to turn into a non-undead?

Let's say he was created with the corpsecrafter feats and using a desecrate spell + altar. Do the +6 HP/Level count the same as a Con bonus and go away? Do his hit die return to d4's? Does he keep the best of both, retaining the d12+6/Level, as well as whatever he gains from his new Con score?

Since part of Metamorphosis states that your hit points don't change and the relative size of a HD is meaningless in all but two situations (levelling up and one obscure weapon enhancement), the answer is "nothing".

I believe it even states your HD are unchanged.

The power says : "Upon changing, you regain lost hit points as if you had rested for a night ... You gain the [Constitution score] of the new form...".  As far as hit points specifically staying the same - "You can also use this power to assume the form of an inanimate object. You ... retain your own hit points".

My interpretation would be that you keep your new d12 hit die (since, like you said, it mentions nothing about changing hit dice) and gain the benefits of your new Constitution score. But that seems absurd, since you could easily morph into something with 20+ Constitution, cranking your d12+6 HP/level to crazy heights.

There were numerous FAQ entries and errata to Polymorph. It was pretty hard to keep up with. Since this basically works the same way, I'm going to assume that RAI that stuff should apply to this, also.

My final understanding was that your hit points never change from Polymorphing, regardless of changes to Con score or anything else. At some point, this was stated in the FAQ, but I don't remember if that was the "final word"...

Metamorphosis is not Polymorph though, so you can enjoy selecting high-CON forms to get lots of hit points (and etc) all you want. Expect books to be thrown w/ stingy DMs though.

From the Polymorph, Wild Shape and Shapechange, oh my! (comparison charts), it seems that Metamorphosis does allow you to gain the new (better) Constitution for your HP.

I totally agree that RAI, Metamorphosis should get these nerfs as well. Still, nice to know that, RAW, you can add a Cave Troll's 27+4 (item boosted) Constitution to a Necropolitan psion's HP, getting a fun 10d12+160hp at 10th Level.

Thanks for the help all :)

Q 52 What spells protect you from negative energy attacks (ability drain/damage, levels, etc)? Do only clerics and paladins have these?

A52: here's the basic one: http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/deathWard.htm

There are a couple more, I think.  But they all seem to be Divine spells mostly.  So Druids get'em as well.

Am sure there are some creative spells that Arcanists can use to become immune (Like temporarily becoming undead or something), but I haven't dug in too deep :P

Q 53 Is there a way other than the feat Arcane Disciple (CD) for a Wizard to get Genesis or an equivalent spell? If so, how? Also, where can I find the Creation domain that has Genesis as the 9th level spell (other than the SRD)?
