So if I'm a follower of Death, which apparently has a religion in this world (so my character is less of a freak :( ), can I make religion checks related to Death untrained? I don't really know squat else about other religions but if you're a follower of a deity (I was happy with the ideal of death, but what the heck, I'll be an orthodox) you should at least be able to roll for related stuff about that deity.
It always seems like the barrels around here have something in them.

First of all, followers of Death DO follow an ideal, it just happens to be an embodiment similar to a deity. As far as untrained Knowledge checks go... what do the rest of you all think? Yay or nay?

The inquisition says: NEVER!

Yeah, go for it, but then I think that should be extended to all characters. Untrained knowledge checks concerning own deity/religion for all? Doesn't help me, no at all...

Ahhh, Tenacious D. Classic. :P
I'll go ahead and avoid the obvious potential reference to Kielbasa Sausage. (which is also a hilarious song)

I agree with Tshern. All it really does is allow SDK & Uber to make trained knowledge (religion) checks when it comes to the ideal of Death. That's hardly unbalancing ;)

I really could have saved some skill points.  I put one rank in all knowledges just for trained status.

Then I vote uber be allowed to take that rank out of Knowledge (religion) if he'd rather only keep the skill for things relating to his own religion.

If you want the general skill, then keep the point, of course. :D

Who are these "real people" you speak of?

No wonder you haven't heard of them, they are not compatible with 3.5e.

Alrighty, all you PCs can have a free rank in Knowledge (religion) if you don't already have more (AC, I'm looking at you). By the way, Tshern, for the record, Nature IS an Ideal in this universe.

It wasn't LITERALLY Knowledge (obscure) in that case. Having pondered it for a while, I reckon it would more than likely be Knowledge (local) that uses it. So in that case, go grab a rank. :D
