Will closes the door and takes a moment to check his surroundings before he turns to the man standing in the back of the room. "Hello mister, can you hear me?"

Pip
"You shouldn't...have left us Will...

His voice is nasty and gurgling as if he had a punctured lung.  You've seen it in battle before.  But if that's true he shouldn't be standing.
Boz
Will just opened the door, and after a moments hesitation went inside.  He's been gone you think about 10 minutes now.  Or at least your nerves make it feel that way.

No, the voice is too distorted.  He's still shaking like a leaf, and facing the back wall.
Robert heads back to the beds of the others, shaking them awake roughly. "Will may be in trouble. He spotted something outside and went to investigate fifteen minutes ago."
"After I fled? What... the squadron? What happened to my squad? What..." As will tries to remember, a screaming sensation of pain arises in his brain. He reaches for his halberd to keep the creature at bay, but can't help but use his other hand to grab his own head.
Jones is not happy.  "You shouldn't have let him go off by himself!  Everyone up now!  Where is he now?"

"He went looking in the house at the far end of the street." Robert scoops up his rifle, heading for the door. "Get everyone up and come after me as quick as you can!"

"Wait, where are you... AAAARGH, MY HEAD!" As he sees the mangled figure fading before his very eyes, the pain becomes much more intense. He drops to his knees as the halberd falls to the floor with a loud 'CLUNK'.
Dresden awoke to the shuffles and shouts of Jones apparently attempting to ruin what was left of a good night's rest. He opens his eyes, sighs, and leaps from his resting place. On goes the coat and belt faster than you'd have thought possible from him, and once they are he stomps off with long strides, rifle in his hand as opposed to on his shoulder. "What's happened? What's with the noise?"

Constable Jones: "Mr. McQuillen spotted someone and went after him without waking up the rest of us.  If he's still alive we need to have a long chat with him."
After about a minute, Will's headache becomes bearable. Did he just see a man fade away? Insisting on getting some evidence of his sanity, he checks the room for evidence that there really was a gravely wounded man here.
