Some of you may remember me from the last topic, where I was wondering on what to build for an insanely overpowered gestalt game. I've passed a lot of ideas around, and as of now, I got what I think is really, really sweet, or would be, if CO was sugar. We shouldn't be reliant on thralls or cohorts, after all. So...
It goes like this:
Druid 5/Planar Shepherd 5/Beholder Mage 2/Arcane Hierophant 7/Mindbender 1 // Factotum 8/Wizard 1/Cleric 3/Warblade 7/Psychic Warrior 1 with a gold dragon bloodline.
It should get initiate of mystra, surrogate spellcasting and be a shepherd from the realm of dreams. Also, mindsight, and hood feats. It should function by going beholder, using planar bubble and using loads of battlefield control and buffing spells, maybe some damaging ones or something, too, depends on the case, but as a beholder mage it shouldn't be a problem. After that, change forms once again and jump on the opponents.
As strange as it seems, I didn't find this build to be too much feat starved, so I plan on going dragonwrought kobold, thing is, so far, I find factotum to be, albeit a solid choice, not to be the best I could squeeze on those 8 levels. I'm using it mostly for the extra standard action, along with a single font of inspiration feat, for another one of them. Maybe a couple levels of ghost and LA? Maybe I can get some LA-buyoff going, but I'm not entirely sure about this. We'll have some "exp pool" for items, but it wasn't set for now, maybe I could argue for it to be used as LA-buyoff. Which can just make it all sweeter.
I should probably get my save vs. thrown DM manual pretty high, tough...
