Would have gone over to deliver healing if you called for a medic.

Still one thing is a live test. Its what differentiates a T1 from T2 and T3s after all. Direct applied combat force only go so far.
Maybe. How would you propose running non-combat? Do I just give you a scenario and see how you respond?

I should probably mix those in with combat encounters. Do non-combat encounters count as the typical four encounters in a work day?
Generally I find its approximately 4 combats and 2 non-combats in a work day since running out in a non-combat is unlikely to be fatal. Best way to deploy it is to simple create a common scenario for the level, an objective and let the party go at it.

Not many scenarios, but off hand I can think of:
-Social
--Long term, move people towards or away from a position.
--Short term, fast talk and divert attention or get an immediate goal
-Travel
--Pursuit, chase someone down
--Escape, flee from something
--Traverse, cross hostile terrain(i.e. traps, doors , man eating tentacle plants, etc)
-Knowledge
--Identifying the nature of a problem
--Discover which of multiple avenues is better/worse.

I figure just grab any 2-3 elements to compose one scenario's nature, and 2 scenarios would do.

Mostly because of the lack of potent earth-y spells, I find the geo is mostly trying to close and do melee, which he's not built for, really. So mostly I've been maneuvering closer, trying to draw fire with my good AC and fast healing tanking a bit, while damaging pretty constantly with the hail of stone. If I didn't have that spell at-will, he'd be significantly more screwed; as is, geo is limited, but still useful as a tanker-damage dealer.

I'm waiting to see how this role expands out as we progress levels.

As for non-combat scenarios...... I think what class you are is only vaguely a factor, so much as to steer the player's actions. And it would definitely require personalities we don't quite have fleshed out; it would be a campaign, by definition. That would be fun, but also time consuming. That being said, this is the only proper playtest of classes I know of on the boards, so frankly we're quite far ahead.

That's okay. I decided to post this on the off chance that everyone was waiting on me for something and I missed it. ;)

I've planned one-and-a-half fights in the mean time to save me time later.

I still never got my new gear. I don't know when I'll have time to either. The little one is in the hospital with an infection and we can't seem to keep that fever under control. I'm still stuck going to work, mostly for stupid issues like wireless mouse and keyboard dropping.

Pretty much just need to finish gear. Sorry,  I've had a bit of a rough time lately, though I can't complain.

Good luck, arch.

--------edit---------
Gonna finish up after work tomorrow. I get out relatively early since I'm only working a mid-shift, so it won't be too bad. Sorry if I'm holding things up. Besides comparing to non-homebrew classes, though, I have been feeling like a bit of a fifth wheel as it is. :(

For the most part it is. She is back to her normal self. Her O2 has been trending downward though. It has us a bit worried because that is a sign of needing her next, and hopefully final (these surgeries have only been done for ~20 years so they don't have any data beyond that horizon), surgery. This is way earlier than we were told to expect if it is the case so that has me concerned about the future after surgery, but there isn't anything we can do about that until it happens. We have a regular cardiologist appointment on Thursday so we will see what he has to say.
