Q281: Does anyone object if I start another Simple Q&A thread? The "answer is 42" one seems to be... something else entirely... and I have a good idea for the name of a new one. We're almost due for one, anyway, what with this being on page 50 and all...  :flutter

A couple of water benders, a dike, a flaming arrow, and a few barrels of blasting jelly?

Sounds like the makings of a gay porn film.

I have no argument with it. The questions seem to be answered anyways. Still need that example of your ship mage though.

I don't think I saved that NPC build... but as I said, it hardly matters. Take any wizard or sorcerer capable of casting 3rd level spells, give them Invisibility, Stinking Cloud, and Summon Monster 2 or 3 (to summon lemures), and go to town. Cast Invisibility, drop the Stinking Cloud on the deck enemy ship, and start spamming SM.

Q280: Is there any way to be in Shadowcraft Mage, and Chemeleon together? (thinking of Gestalt here and having problem coming up with Gnome and Able Leather)

Most people use the racially neutral adaptation that's right in the shadowcraft mage entry.

Otherwise, changeling with the Racial Emulation feat (in Races of Eberron, p 110), as stated.

Am I nuts, or is the ability to specialize in both Transmutation and Illusion and then go into Shadowcraft Mage potentially really spectacular?
"We managed to make an NPC puke an undead monster."
"That sounds like a victory to me."

Pretty sure that was my idea originally, along with the focused specialist variant as well.

Also, war weaver.

I dare anyone to find a hole in that logic.

I think you can be a changeling and take a feat that lets you count as the race you're emulating.

This can also be done with human (or equivalent) and 3 levels in stoneblessed (Races of Stone).
