How Do You Listen?

We want to know how and where you listen to podcasts, particularly ours.

Knowing what kind of frame of mind people are in will help our programming.

Up to this point the how is downloaded option and the where is in our office while chilling out (playing on the interweb) in the evening.

Mostly streaming from the website (in the pop-up), but a couple of times I've DLed the episode.
Visit my Message Boards (they're strangely familiar) and my Blog...

Now this may sound weird, but does anyone have trouble figuring out where to download from?  Or did they the first time?

I run into this in many other podcasts where I actually can't find the links.  In the case of at least one show I just gave up.  What I would like to try to avoid is people coming to our site and not figuring out how to get the episodes and then just leaving.

I'd like to also throw in that if anyone has any suggestions as to how to make listening easier, we are all ears.

I don't think the people that do would have stuck around to post on your boards.

We had some issues at first downloading them, but finding where to download them was easy.

Since you are doing the "commercial breaks" now, how about breaking up the podcast into smaller pieces?  Sure, it's a lot more work for possibly little gain, but I know I have had to start up an episode a few different times to get through the whole thing - I'm not always able to listen straight through...

I was thinking about that... it would mean making it into a couple of MP3s.  I don't know of any other podcast that does that so I think it may be too confusing?

Video simul-cast. Sure you couldn't do the recordings while nude anymore, but then we'd have something to watch while listening.   :flirt

Or if you continued to do them nude we'd definitely have something to watch. :flirt

Too.  Many.  Comments.   *head explodes*

I wasn't advocating an 'either or' approach.  Keep the regular options, but add others for those who can't listen to the full enchilada...

Posting multiple files means posting 1 a day for the purposes of podcatchers.

It is unsurprising that the people who subscribe via RSS do not tend to come to the website otherwise.

More often than not, I download the episode, and wait until my coworkers leave and listen to it.

But I've also streamed it after hours. :)

An old thread, but it wouldn't be here if I wasn't allowed to answer it, right?

I always download the episode and just listen it at home. Most of the time I put it out from my speakers and just lie down on my bed. And laugh.

I listen to it from the website.
