Making a Pokemon Trainer

I've gotten a sudden urge to recreate N from Pokemon Black/White to use as a villain in a game.  I was going to use druid or maybe Beastmaster, I wanted to weigh in and see what the others thought.  How would you build a pokemon trainer, specifically N?

A summoner could do it. Probably a conjurer, for the standard action summoning ACF. Just throw some metal ball out when you cast the spell, and yell something cheesy like "Fiendish Dire Wolf, I choose you!"

Best way is obviously artificer with custom spell storing balls containing summon monster spells.  :D

Hmm, not familiar with the newer games but the Pathfinder Summoner is designed for it(including using your favorite pokemon as your special). as well as the Preservationist Alchemist

wiz (variant summoner (all three d20srd varieties)) 1 : preco (summon II) :(free via variant) Augment summoning : (human?) : (flaw) Spell thematics " as if from a thrown sphere" (wasted) : (flaw) Imbued summoning (if not using the third variant class feature) / druid (ashbound) 1

needs ashbound feat
needs superior summons feat

i saw some other Natures Ally related stuff but didnt reread...

any way at lvl 2 you have 5? summons that are augmented or better.


probably want druid first then the level of wiz, and re spec'd accordingly

I've considered the Pathjfinder Summoner, it's a good match, but since I'm not actually the DM for this I'm unsure if it will be open (though the DM is a pretty bro dude).  Conjurers work well, though druid seems more fitting (free all the pokemon/animals, being able to talk to them, and supposedly some gnarly handle animal checks).  Astral Construct pokemon would be fitting, though since I'm currently playing an Astral Construct build, I'll avoid that.

I see him either Wis or Cha based, so the options from what I can see are druid, spirit shaman, and sorcerer with a summoning focus.  The thematics of throwing spheres isn't too important, we pretty much get spell thematics for free. 

I noticed a ACF which drops wild shape for monk AC and tracking.  While probably not optimized, it seemed fitting.  He's a caster before a wildshaper.

I'm not familiar with optimizing summoning druids (if I went that way), though I know the Summon Monster series tends to be stronger than the Summon Nature's Ally series overall.  I'm reviewing the handbook, but if anyone knows any tricks not covered or specific to my build, by all means I appreciate it.

At high levels you can dominate your minions and use Binding - Minimus Containment to hold them. Have their release command be "minionName I choose You!"
