After a decade plus hiatus, the Carrion Crown AP got my old group together again to play through the adventure path once we've caught up on all the changes since 2E. I'll be playing a wizard and mulling over build ideas. Since this is an undead heavy campaign, I'm thinking Ench and Illusion for oppositional schools as these spells will likely be useless the majority of the time. Should I go conjuror specialization and embrace the controller role albeit one tailored to an undead heavy setting, or, given the lack of enchantment and illusion utility, am I better off as a blaster for this adventure path?
Any thoughts, advice, and input appreciated. I'm trying to catch up on a LOT of changes from 2E to Pathfinder.
We are using core rulebook and APG.
