Extraordinary Artisan question.
« on: March 30, 2011, 02:29:06 AM »
I'm currently playing a words of creation Bard in a not too optimized party.  My character is all about creation(among other things he has max ranks in Craft(weapon), and he recently picked up Craft Magic Arms and Armor. So, I was reading over the crafting discount list to see if there were any I could take advantage of, that didn't look too abusive/unlikely.

Extraordinary Artisan looked promising.  25% reduction for the cost of a feat (no nipple clamps... no extraplanar dwarves... seems do-able).  But when I looked it up in the ECS, the description doesn't seem to indicate a price reduction.
Exceptional Artisan
You are an expert at creating magic items faster than usual.
Prerequisites: Any item creation feat
Benefit:When determining the time you need to craft any item, reduce the base time by 25%.

So ... Uh... yeah... That doesn't sound like a price reduction at all.  I did a search, but the only hits on this forum were the listings in the price reduction thread.  Is there something I'm missing? Errata?

Edit: Here's a link to the thread I was reading- http://brilliantgameologists.com/boards/index.php?topic=7274.0

That's Exceptional Artisan, which reduces time.  Extraordinary Artisan is the feat that reduces costs

Remember, kids! Don't drink and optimize!
[spoiler]Masculine men like masculine things. Masculine men are masculine. Therefore, liking masculine men is masculine.

I dare anyone to find a hole in that logic.
