What expies of characters from various media have you used in your games? Tell stories, or suggest new ones.



An Eberron example:

Long ago, in the area now known as the Eldeen Reaches, the head of the strongest orc tribe was a weretiger named Moonscar. When the black dragon Vvaraak came warning of the daelkyr and their plans to invade Eberron, he was the only chief to recognise the truth in her words. Pledging his peoples' assistance, his tribe became the first Gatekeepers.

As the orcs became powerful druids under Vvaraak's teaching, so did she and Moonscar grow closer, and eventually fall in love. Their child matured quickly, and, blessed with the best of both parents' bloodlines, grew into one of the brightest lights in the fight against the Xorian invaders.

By the time the fight was ended, Moonscar was slain and Vvaraak was departed. Though he himself had lost an arm and an eye, the Gatekeepers begged their hero to lead them, but he refused. He explained that he had unravelled a fragment of the Prophecy which had manifested in a cave, telling that the time when he would be most needed was yet to come. Following his wishes, the Gatekeepers placed him into a deep sleep within the cave.

Unfortunately, conflict and schisms eventually resulted in the location of his resting place being lost. If anyone might have a clue to his location it would be the archdruid Oalian. Even if he were revived, his injuries leave his fighting ability weakened from what it once was. Then again, we have the magitek...

The tier system in a nutshell:

Tier 5: An expert cartographer or a decent marksman.
Tier 4: An expert marksman.
Tier 3: An expert marksman, cartographer and chef who can tie strong knots and is trained in hostage negotiation or a marksman so good he can shoot down every bullet fired by a minigun while armed with a rusted single-shot pistol that veers to the left.
Tier 2: Someone with teleportation, mind control, time manipulation, intangibility, the ability to turn into an exact duplicate of anything, or the ability to see into the future with perfect accuracy.
