Fate/Stay Night in Dresden Files RPG
Fate
Shirou - Told to make a mage character. Turned up with a guy with crap for Lore, Sponsored Magic(a custom version that allows instant speed thaumaturgic crafting but no other Evocation aspect) and an Item of Power granting Superhuman Recovery(catch - Saber linked). Total sucker for compels. "Role"-player, but mostly just dumb.
Saber - Made exactly what she was asked to. A super sword-fighter with a super magic sword. Had an aspect on gluttony, which she tags for extra fuel. A bit one-dimensional a character, but consistent.
Rin - Made a pretty good well rounded mage type. Arrived with what she thought was a reasonable amount of power and roleplayed well enough. Turned out everyone else was some kind of idiot AND she had terrible dice luck. Is also a writer when shes not gaming.
Archer - Powergamer, showed up at the last minute with a totally mysterious type of character. Ignored the guidelines to make an Archer("I have a bow ok, it shoots swords"), and forgot about background. Hyperoptimized, but had to leave, so he suicided on Berserker.
Ilya - Decent player, but can't make it to most sessions. A thaumaturgy specialist. Became team mascot when she had to leave for various reasons.
Berserker - Bought Physical Immunity for his Item of Power....then realized it brought him below 0 Refresh. Spent the rest of the game Berserk except when Ilya invokes a compel on his High Concept. Possibly Ilya's player's kid brother. Really liked fighting and pretty much nothing else.
Sakura - NPC at this point
Shinji - Rider's player's boyfriend. A 'Role'-player like Shirou, but a jerk IRL. Ilya's player got her kid brother to stomp him and get rid of him.
Rider - A fairly competent optimizer, and basically like Saber in that she followed the rules and guidelines for the most part. Unfortunately her boyfriend is a DICK, and just abuses her when he finds out he sucks. Shinji's player forced her into a losing battle and dictated all her tactics.
Kuzuki - NPC at this point
Caster - Another powergamer, abusing unlimited skeleton creation and generally getting uber powerful thaumaturgy by skipping lots of scenes. Abused chain binding to get her own Servant, but the DM put his foot down on the chain bind. Died while bragging about how much of a leet optimizer she is to Gilgamesh's player. Gilgamesh proceeds to Show Her and killed her in one shot.
Fake Assassin - NPC for the most part, but a new player picked him up for a bit to test run the game.
Bazett - Unable to make it to the game at the last minute. So she died off screen.
Kotomine - That Rogue Guy, the type who'd steal from the party, secretly murder everyone's families, etc while hiding the whole time. Got along just awesome with Gilgamesh's player and picked up some optimization tips.
Lancer - Cool guy and made a very neat character. Had attendance problems though and then he got Kotomine and Gilgamesh for his partners(since his Master couldnt make it). That he had two jerks as partners probably contributed to absentism.
Gilgamesh - That Guy. Powergames, uses a broken character with basically infinite Resources. Constantly wants to rape and/or murder someone and hits on the girls in the group all the time. Eventually gets beaten by a Plot Device the DM upgraded Shirou's Item of Power into.
Unlimited Blade Works
Shirou - Same old idiot, but Archer's player got together with him halfway through the game to rewrite his sheet. The whole fight was staged by Archer so he can justify the sheet rewrite and defeat Gilgamesh using the dumbest likable player at the table.
Saber - Still the same old super sword fighter, but became the prize loot between all the party jerks. Caster wanted to rape her, and so did Gilgamesh. Eventually got together with the Only Sane Girl as Rin became her Master.
Rin - Still the Only Sane Girl. She added some martial arts since she got her butt kicked by Kotomine last time, so she can fight in melee as well. Surprised Caster by totally beating her ass with buffed melee. Archer was an allied player(along with the derpy Shirou and the Straight Man Saber) but enigmatic in the whole business to show up Gilgamesh.
Archer - Took it one step further, since he never wrote a character backstory, he decided to ignore the guideline about making a historical hero and decided to be Shirou from the FUTURE! so he can rewrite Shirou's sheet for him. Also started using his optimizing powers to their full extent, using speed-crafted single use items to great effect.
Then he slipped off somewhere so Gilgamesh wouldn't notice when he interfers in the final battle. This whole campaign was his personal war with Gilgamesh. And while he was a dirty optimizer, he wasn't That Guy(Gilgamesh).
Ilya - Her player's life got even busier, so she arranged the same things as happened in Fate, so shes a party mascot while away...then Gilgamesh's player killed her in a gruesome manner. Not that she could keep on playing anyway, since her kid brother refuses to attend anymore.
Berserker - Gilgamesh demonstrated his CO skills on the poor kid and brutally killed his character without the kid ever getting to do anything between getting comboed down.
Sakura - NPC at this point
Shinji - Broke up with Rider, and was generally in the dumps. Then Gilgamesh's player offered an alliance, only to use his character for his sick MPreg fetishes. This broke him.
Rider - After she broke up with Shinji, Rider's player left the game for a while.
Kuzuki - New player showed up, and since Caster's master hadn't been seen before, he was assigned that character. Except he never read the campaign bio and just created a standard issue fantasy kung fu monk who was also a teacher. This wasn't so bad with the powergaming Caster putting buffs on him though.
Caster - Gets to indulge her lesbian rape fantasy on Saber and generally made it uncomfortable around the table even as she joined Gilgamesh in powergaming to the Nth degree. She allied with Archer to get some revenge on Gilgamesh for killing her last time, but Archer couldn't stand her being a general sicko and offed her anyway.
The GM was so relieved when Archer PK'ed her that he let Archer get away with more things than most.
Fake Assassin - The new guy came back after Caster got PK'ed by Archer and turned Assassin into a pretty cool guy. So they did another oneshot with him.
Bazett - Still dead.
Kotomine - He couldn't attend, so Gilgamesh and Lancer were largely left to their own devices. And then he came back and got in an argument with Lancer, forcing Lancer to kill himself, since he had Gilgamesh anyway(as Shinji was the patsy to start with). Lancer instead of just dying, offed him while he was at it.
Lancer - He shows up a lot more, now that Kotomine's player couldn't attend, and was generally a cool dude over beer and pretzels. Probably an older guy. When Kotomine returned to fuck things up he decided to do the world some good and went for a double KO.
Gilgamesh - Reaches his zenith, as between trying to rape Saber, MPreg Shinji, ripping Ilya's heart out, every other player present basically allied to take out his uber broken character.
Archer meanwhile, was finding no end of help from the 'sane' people in the group in his personal dick waving contest. Everyone who could chipped in on getting Shirou, the party retard to beat Gilgamesh at his own game.
Heaven's Feel
After the CharOpt dueloff in every direction, the GM instituted harsh new houserules against powergaming. Archer's trick got nerfed by some terrible consequences on every use, Gilgamesh got an activation action problem, Caster lost the ability to chain-bind.
Shirou - Not really the brightest bulb, Shirou continues to use the changes Archer helped him put in. Other than using some of the spare power templates that Archer left, he just...kept going even as his character got shredded.
Saber - The GM recruited her to join his revenge spree against the jerks, so she got 'killed'.
Rin - STILL the Only Sane Girl. Not her good day since Archer quits, but she keeps at it, with good planning and worse luck. It all comes to a head in the finale, as the GM decided the only sane person could use a little insanity and gave her a custom weapon that replaces her previous gem-potion-bombs.
She tries to talk Sakura out of her rampage.
Then all the luck across all three campaigns merged in an epic cascade, every attack was a crit, every damage was maximum. She was oneshotting everything....and flubbed it in the end to be the Only Sane Man
Archer - He stuck around for a bit, but when an indestructible Berserker showed up, in addition to the item creation nerfs. He just quit.
Ilya - Her kid brother now has someone else to deal with him, so she got a lot more playtime, but without Berserker of course. Shes a little detached from most of the game at this point though, partly because of frequent absentism.
Berserker - Since the kid quit, the GM took the opportunity to Plot-Kill him and turn Berserker into an unkillable Plot Death Engine.
Sakura - GM's girlfriend got into the game. While she gets along fine with Rin, Rider and Saber at first, she went on a bit of a rampage from GM favoritism as the abilities stacked up.
Shinji - After the MPreg business, he decided to indulge his fetishes. Unfortunately he just described raping the GM's girlfriend. And he was kicked out right there.
Rider - She came back after some persuasion from the others, and became good friends with Sakura after Shinji was killed off. Without Shinji fucking it all up, she actually got to use her further abilities even.
Kuzuki - Citing boredom and lack of interest, Kuzuki quits.
Caster - After everyone cheered when Archer backstabbed her, Caster permanently left the group
Fake Assassin - New guy read the logs and discovered the amazing amount of rape going around. He is never seen again.
Bazett - Still dead.
Kotomine - Ever since Lancer stabbed him the last time, he rebuilt his priest into some kind of superpowered, unkillable exorcist with Inhuman Everything, killer magic items, Ritual magic. He did mellow out a little since the backlash from the last campaign. He linked his unkillability to the predictable plot device.
Lancer - Well, Kotomine came back and he certainly wasn't about to stick around. So he just died.
Gilgamesh - Never quite learning his lesson after everyone ganged up on him. His attempt at murdering Sakura got the GM to declare that she has mega regeneration and Servant Killing Powers.
Matou Zouken - A seriously bad case of unabashed pervert. He picked up some basic ritual magic and made himself invulnerable. Got kicked from the game after making too many sexual remarks at the GM's girlfriend.
"Ok, I killed all your worms in the house!"
*smuggrin* "I got another one"
"What the fuck, where?"
*smuggrin at GM's girlfriend*
True Assassin - A friend of Zouken's player, he just tagged along. Never really did more than toss a few SoDs around.
