Is there any published text that, in effect, states that level increases, inherit bonuses and age bonuses stack onto the new mental ability scores resulting from PAO?
The bonus gained by polymorph any object is untyped, and you're still under the effects of those other things, and bonuses of different types (and untyped bonuses from different sources) always stack.

And, IIRC, they apply in the most beneficial order.

Or am I wrong?

I dare anyone to find a hole in that logic.

I fear they don't but if there is something written about it, I'd like to know as well

It depends if age and level bonuses are actual bonuses or just modify your base stats

His old DM was on crack. He could take levels in freaking Dread Necromancer if he wanted to and no rule in the universe would keep him from doing so.
Rule 0?
Which, I guess, would be 'no rule,' since none = 0.
What's funny is he always brings up Rule 0. I actually had to ask him what that was, and without blinking an eye he gave me the most detailed explanation I'd ever heard for a rule. It was like he was in a trance when he spoke. Looking it up, it just said "The unspoken DM gets final say/veto anything he wants rule."
You're such a kind man, for taking in abused unfortunates and rehabilitating them.

I don't think gaining a new ability score altogether... is the same as gaining a bonus/penalty to your ability score.

Although, I agree that other existing magical benefits from active spells or a headband of intellect, would then improve the new ability score as normal.

You still have the experience of having aged to whatever category you end up as, so I'd think you'd keep those benefits. However, I wouldn't complain too badly if you didn't, especially if you keep the benefits of a relatively young body.

The change in your ability scores from PAO isn't a bonus at all. It replaces your ability score with that of your new form.

It would indeed stack with enhancement (and other) bonuses that you still benefit from, as long as you still receive those bonuses in your new form, though. Now... whether aging modifiers and inherent bonuses would carry over is another thing... since they're arguably enhancing your old body, and not your new one. You get the stats of an average member of your new form, not those of a venerable member of that species...

Sounds like the makings of a gay porn film.
