What "social networking" sites do you use?  What do you check frequently?

I don't use any, just IMs and forums (and a blog). I don't really like the social networking sites much.

I use myspace, tho i dont get many friend request..its a very disturbing and offensive space. lol i use it as a space for me to totally vent, i mean thats what its for right? so it's more or less a clear image of my real personality.

I get to be the first to owning up to having a LiveJournal, huh? I have one of those, which I check (and use) every day. Okay, maybe I don't post daily, but whatever. And I have several more for non-personal reasons.

I also have a MySpace, primarily because certain friends of mine started there (and my sister only has a MySpace, no LJ.)

Why do some of you people dislike these sites so much? Just because there's about a billion dumb-as-heck teens and other stupid internet people on them? They can be both useful and entertaining... And gods know you don't HAVE to put stuff about your actual life if you don't want to. (One of my LJ accounts is for a character of mine, for example.)
