"It's possible there's any number of holes and passages deep into the Underdark, and it just flows down through them. It might be something you feel worthwhile in exploring after all this demon-business is taken care" Isul pauses to scratch behind one of his very large ears.

"I, personally, prefer the desert."

A gygaxian dungeon is like the world's most messed up game show.

Behind door number one: INSTANT DEATH!
Behind door number 2: A magic crown!
Behind door number 3: 4d6 giant bees, and THREE HUNDRED POUNDS OF HONEY!
They don't/haven't, was the point. 3.5 is as dead as people not liking nice tits.

Sometimes, their tits (3.5) get enhancements (houserules), but that doesn't mean people don't like nice tits.

Though sometimes, the surgeon (DM) botches them pretty bad...
Best metaphor I have seen in a long time.  I give you much fu.
Three Errata for the Mage-kings under the sky,
Seven for the Barbarian-lords in their halls of stone,
Nine for Mortal Monks doomed to die,
One for the Wizard on his dark throne
In the Land of Charop where the Shadows lie.

Drannoth, as an underdark denizen, scoffed at Isul's remark.
'I used to live under this desert, and I can tell you, the underdark isn't full of water. Sure there are underground rivers...'
he hesitated.
'...but I think it's just one of those mysteries.'

"I'm blaming the gnomes," Isul says as he continues to clean himself with wetted paws, much like a rodent. A talking rodent, but a rodent nonetheless.

"Perhaps the land has been cursed...a reminder of the folly of men who would be gods..."

'Hah, good one', Drannoth said with a chuckle at Isul's remark.

Devanar frowned at the MARC's comment.
'Maybe the land was cursed. Who knows these things? I know Lathander would never curse a land like this, and I for one would keep fighting to revive it...', as an afterthought to Isul he added, '...maybe not all of it. The desert is beautiful in places.'
Not even the faintest hope on the check.
The dwarf took an interest in the rodent's tale, it reminded him of stories Glankbir, his uncle, used to tell him when he was growing up, and some parts were new to him though. "Are they just omission or unknown to him?" Not knowing which it is, he resolved to remember it the best he could for when he next spoke to the old merchant.

Finishing the cleaning of his gear shortly after the rodent had finished, he moved to lay down, head towards the fire. From his pack he pulled out a large metal and rock bound tome. By the light of the fire he started to read it.
"You think I'm talking about breaking the rules?"
"No I'm just trying to figure out how far you want them bent."
Let's say we conclude this Campfire, here. We'll start the next session soon, which takes place after the mutated demon fight - there might be stuff to talk about.

One thing: It is assumed that the MARC offers to use his immunity invocation on all of you this evening. It would have been nice to get there IC, but... I guess you can't have everything.
The talk slowly died down, as one after the other the people present either took up their guard rotation, or went to sleep...
