Encounter 10 v2


Setup:
After resting from the grueling druid fight, you continue trudging through the mire.  You hear an odd buzzing which alerts you to the presence of something.  Then, from across a small swampy area, you see two giant wasps flying toward you!

Note: You are at full HP and spell slots.



Initiative rolls:

Grizz -> d20 + 2 = 4
Ixen -> d20 + 4 = 20
Serias -> d20 + 3 = 11
Thorden -> d20 + 6 = 18

Wasp 1 -> d20 + 1 = 8

Wasp 1 charges Grizz and ends at R 21 (upper left corner), which provokes an AoO from Grizz -> 1d20+4 (Stone Power for -4) = 10, and he misses.  Grizz gains 8 temporary HP.  The wasp attacks Grizz -> d20 + 8 = 24, and it hits for 1d3 + 6 = 9 damage!  Grizz attempts a Fort save against the poison -> d20 + 7 = 13, and he fails the save, taking -> 1d6 = 2 Dex damage!

Wasp 2 beings to charge at Serias, but enters within range of the spell.

Serias, roll for your Ray of Ice!

The wasp attempts to avoid the freezing -> d20 + 2 = 17, but it still takes the damage.  It then finishes its charge at Serias -> d20 + 7 = 9, but misses.

The wasps attempt to dodge:

#1 -> d20 + 2 = 17

#2 -> d20 + 2 = 7

The first wasp partially dodges the blast, but the second eats the whole thing.  Wasp 2 is looking pretty beat up.

(I messed a few thing up.  Ugh)


Wasp 1 charges Serias and 2 charged Grizz.  So, wasp 1 took the Ice Ray damage.  Grizz took his first AoO against wasp 2, which missed.  So wasp 2 is slightly less injured, but it still looks pretty messed up.

Grizz is also entitled to an AoO against wasp 1, before it attempts to sting Serias -> d20 + 4 = 10, which misses, but gives Grizz 8 temporary HP (although I think these are lost at the start of his next turn, which is right now).

So, I think that gets us up to speed.

Grizz uses Tactical Strike against Wasp 1.
1d20(7)+9=16
2d4(2,2)+2d6(1,4)+6=15 and Serias can take a free 5-ft step without provoking any AoO's.

Still in Iron Guard's Glare (-4 for threatened enemies to hit my allies, which would have included its charge against Serias which missed anyway).
