Brainstorming an improved ranger

...and trying to focus on the animal companion. Not sure what levels to put the class features at - ignore the table for now.

Animal Companion: As the druid class feature.

Improved Flanking (Ex): As long as you and your animal companion threaten the same enemy, both of you are considered to be flanking that enemy.

Synchronised Strike (Ex): Any creature struck by the ranger and his animal companion in the same round takes additional damage equal to his ranger level.

Grant Move Action (Ex): As a standard action, a ranger of ?th level or higher may grant an extra move action to his animal companion, as long as it is within 30 feet. It takes this extra move action immediately, acting in its current initiative order. This extra action does not affect the companion's initiative count; the round continues normally after the ranger's turn is over.

Twin Maneuvers (Ex): When a ranger feints in combat he may choose for his animal companion to gain the benefit, or vice versa. When an enemy provokes an attack of opportunity from the ranger his animal companion may make an attack of opportunity instead.

Legendary Companion: At ?th level your animal companion's type changes to Magical Beast, increasing its BAB to equal its Hit Dice. It may choose to treat its type as Animal whenever it is more convenient. (ie. it could ignore a dominate animal spell while accepting an animal growth effect).

Improved Synchronised Strike (Ex): Any creature struck by a melee or ranged attack from the ranger takes a -2 penalty to AC and saving throws against his animal companion for 1 round, and vice versa.

Improved Twin Maneuvers (Ex): Whenever a ranger or his aimal companion feints in combat, both gain the benefits. Whenever an enemy provokes an attack of opportunity from the ranger or his animal companion, both may make an attack opportunity.

Improved Intelligence: At ?th level the Intelligence score of the ranger's animal companion permanently increases by 2. It is now capable of following following complex commands and acting independently.

One Mind (Ex): If the ranger or his animal companion is aware of a particular danger, they both are. If one of them is not flat-footed, neither of them are. Neither is considered flanked unless both of them are.

One Soul (Ex): If the ranger would be slain and his animal companion is within 30ft, it may choose to redirect the effect which would have killed the ranger to itself.

The tier system in a nutshell:

Tier 4: An expert marksman.
Tier 3: An expert marksman, cartographer and chef who can tie strong knots and is trained in hostage negotiation or a marksman so good he can shoot down every bullet fired by a minigun while armed with a rusted single-shot pistol that veers to the left.
Tier 2: Someone with teleportation, mind control, time manipulation, intangibility, the ability to turn into an exact duplicate of anything, or the ability to see into the future with perfect accuracy.

My initial thought on seeing Twin Maneuvers was that this would be a Tome of Battle class. Perhaps there's room for that?
