Which skill stops a slide?

Say I'm sliding down a slope, what skill would you use to stop sliding? Climb?

For example, you have a floor trap that tilts. The tilt is at a 70 degree angle and the floor is made of stone. Would a climb allow you to grab on to the stones and stop a slide?

I would just make it a reflex save

I would allow Balance or Climb, whichever was better for that character. If the character had neither, I would allow a Reflex save which was somewhat more difficult than the skill check (as a character with special skills like this would have an easier time of it).

Climb already has this. Catching yourself while falling is a non-action at a DC of 10 + the slop's normal Climb DC (DC + 20 for a wall). The difference between a wall and a slope is also defined there as whether the incline is above or below 60 degrees.

I think catching a ledge is also one of the prescribed options for a Reflex save. I don't know where it is though, probably some sidebar in the DMG.

Clerics and Druids are like the 4 and 2 in 42. Together they are the answer to the ultimate question in D&D.

Baseballs take a racial penalty to Climb on inclined planes.

So the Outlands, the Astral, Ethereal, and Material Planes, and the Plane of Shadow are good for climbing baseballs since the rest of the planes are inclined one way or another.
