Q 122 If someone wants to be a specialist enchanter or illusionist, would it be a better plan to try and convince them to just go with a beguiler?

A 122

Depends a lot on what exactly the player wants. Mechanically, a specialist Enchanter or Illusionist is still a Wizard, and is free to pull all his Tier 1 shit with his non-specialist slots. A Beguiler has some neat tricks outside of Enchantment and Illusion, but is still much more focused on those two schools. For a serious specialist in both of those schools, Beguiler is a cleaner and simpler choice (and does have some other perks). The specialist Illusionist/Enchanter is much more just a Wizard who just so happens to prepare a lot of spells from one or both of those two schools. Definitely point out the possibility. If it fits what the player envisions, they'll likely at least consider it.
It's all about vision and making reality conform to your vision. By dropping a fucking house on it.

Fair enough. I'll have to talk to him and see what exactly he's looking to get out of it, and why he chose doing that.

Q 123 Does the Soulfire armor ability work against a succubus's kiss?

q124 is there some way to get weapon focus through a magical location or otherwise through spending money?

Yes, the ability is specifically listed as energy drain and soulfire specifically makes you immune to energy drain.

Maybe I'm approaching this from the wrong angle, and instead should be looking into how a beguiler that could normally fight effectively can change itself into something more stealthy, and totally beneath notice even if it is found, for long periods instead.

I was double checking because if you think about it, when you get kissed, she's not kissing the armor or shield. It's your flesh. Unless you're 100% covered up. Enervation, or a death knight's touch, or a negative energy breath weapon, that makes perfect sense. It's just that the kiss seemed to be in the gray area.

Easy example - there's a helmet that lets you act normally underwater - your whole body, not just your head.

The succubus would first have to convince you to strip before she'd kiss you.

Q 125
has it been determined what kind of ability Arcane Strike is?
basically, I need to know if I can use meta-SLA feats on it (namely, maximize and empower)

[spoiler]
If you stop ignoring 289 pages telling what the intent is to stretch "more power" in your own god complexion of your interpretation trumps all to cover ability adjustments from aging then I will ignore a quarter page of rules that exist within a sidebar.
I think in this case the grammar is less important than whether the Str and Dex bonus provided to your created undead scales.

Wow, good question. The only thing I could find was in the Rules Compendium, which states that Extraordinary Abilities are usually free actions. Plus, usually abilities that are (Su) or (Sp) are specifically called out to be that. These to things combined makes me think it is (Ex), but I haven't found anything definitive like "Unless stated otherwise, abilities conferred by feats are extraordinary".
By clicking this link, you open a pop-up, but I get a eurocent for my current wish, the 5th book of the Wheel of Time series. Please note that this only works if you leave the pop-up opened till it has finished loading. Thank you!

I am not sure if this is relevant, but: http://community.wizards.com/go/thread/view/75882/19579322/Psionics_FAQ
Q: Are Psionic feats Extraordinary, Supernatural, or Spell-Like?
A: As with all feats (Vile feats being the exception), Psionic feats are Extraordinary.

However, even though feats might be Ex, abilities granted by feats don't have to be. I think.

A125 Exalted feats are (Su) too.

@cru, that means the abilities granted by the feats are Ex. Otherwise you would stop qualifiying for Vile/Exalted PrCs in an AMF. Having the feat isn't an ability, it's just a feat you have. The ability the feat grants is Ex unless otherwise noted. (Reserve, Vile, Exalted....)

Psionic Feat benefits are explicitly Supernatural  anyway.
I am constantly amazed by how many DM's ban Tomb of Battle.  The book doesn't even exist!

Q 126 Can a Mythal (Lost Empires of Faerun) bestow feats, increase caster level, and/or bestow extraordinary/supernatural abilities upon its beneficiaries?

Q 127a: Is there a way for an Arcane caster (Unseen Seer), apart from Tenser's Transformation, to increase his BAB, or get a big boost to his to hit with a bow? Preferably not with items that emulate Divine Power.

Q 127b: Are there any Polymorph forms with limbs (so you can keep using all your equipment) and high dex? (Related to previous question)
