I can't get Dungeonforge to work using Wine. At all. I've tried the file that they had to download with it, but it didn't work.

Neither did Maptool.

I'm running Linux, and those two are for Windows.

This might be a bit hard to deal with, but check out the "map" tab of the second post here.

You would need to have 2 copies (base map, and map with all the creatures shown on it), but I works well for text only places. Just another option.

I'm starting a wiki to post the maps on. Will link as soon as I'm done.

Google Docs is more obliging. Please, copy the map into your favorite notepad-like application, so that the formatting actually works (unless someone can give me tips on how to do so in Google Docs, I would be much obliged.)

It might be better to go with a format more like in bhu's Jester's Realm game, with maps like this, made in a spreadsheet.

On a strange note, would anyone be put out if we had a post about people or events we can spare a thought for, or if its within their creed, a prayer for? Just a random thought, but ... hells I wouldn't have known about either Archangels daughter or Saeomons niece if I didn't happen to be on these threads.
