I'm assuming that I see what is happening since I was standing there.
Clerics and Druids are like the 4 and 2 in 42. Together they are the answer to the ultimate question in D&D.
Retire the character before the DM smacks you with the Table as the book will feel totally inadequate now.-Hazren

"What in the Nine Hells was that?"
Winning an argument on the internet is like winning in the Special Olympics.  You won, but you're still retarded.
ugh. Bad rolls :(

Guess I'm not seeing the vine!
Carlos had been spending more time admiring the coloration of the overcast clouds than his companions. Claude's shout, however, pulled his attention back to the group. All he saw was Shimala wrapped in some vines. Carlos peered up into the branches of the tree for the attacker that must have thrown them down on her.
Combat Actions!
Move Action: Non-reactive spot check to see the foe- 1d20=12
Standard Action:  Readied action to shoot the enemy as soon as I can identify it
A gygaxian dungeon is like the world's most messed up game show.

Behind door number one: INSTANT DEATH!
Behind door number 2: A magic crown!
Behind door number 3: 4d6 giant bees, and THREE HUNDRED POUNDS OF HONEY!
They don't/haven't, was the point. 3.5 is as dead as people not liking nice tits.

Sometimes, their tits (3.5) get enhancements (houserules), but that doesn't mean people don't like nice tits.

Though sometimes, the surgeon (DM) botches them pretty bad...
Best metaphor I have seen in a long time.  I give you much fu.
Three Errata for the Mage-kings under the sky,
Seven for the Barbarian-lords in their halls of stone,
Nine for Mortal Monks doomed to die,
One for the Wizard on his dark throne
In the Land of Charop where the Shadows lie.

The dice gods treat me kindly this night! I am grateful to them, and shall burn a threesome of incense when I return home on Wednesday.
Hearing Tivus' signal, Ivarlan turns irksomely from his less than wonderful tracking experience. Perhaps it was the lack of action, or his aggression from hunting the elk, but his senses were never sharper, and his body moved quickly and naturally.

Assuming he spots/hears them, which I hope he does with that roll, he'll head on over, drawing his sword in the moving process. I assume I wont appear for a round or two though. If he needs a roll to see if he's familiar with it, know that he is less so.

Tosc is continues foraging as he hears Shimila call to Kim.  This is good for them, he thinks to himself.

Spot (1d20+9=29)
Listen (1d20+9=19)
Nature (1d20+5=16) to see what he knows.

Initiative (1d20+2=6) OOC:  LOL, I hear.  I see.  Apparently just not all that motivated by the plight.

Figure that Tosc probably hears and sees stuff with those but will wait before posting further.

If aware of the situation Tosc may try to throw some fire at the vine (if he can do so without hitting Shimila).  Otherwise he is likely to close with a melee weapon as he is able.
