General Grievous in 3.5
« on: December 17, 2010, 07:19:35 AM »
I was looking at making a General Grievous build with a psionic or arcanist Thrikeen with some levels in dervish, but the main class i wanted to take was Renegade Mastermaker. I had 3 questions
1. Would the +1 caster level for Renegade mastermaker(RMM) advance psionics or would it be an adaption
2. Thri keen is monsterous Humanoid im not sure if that means it counts for the Humanoid pre req of RMM
3. Has anyone made a similar build? basically what i was looking for in the end was making the character 4 weapon fight with dervish dance with a wand sheath with wraithstrike, probably power attack and battlejump involved to make use of their +30 jump check.

Edit: changed title to prevent confusion, sorry Ed :(

Here is a build I did years ago, so take it with a grain of salt.

Base Attack/Grapple: +15/+17
Attack: Scimitar +25 melee (1d6+2/15-20) or 4 Claws +25 melee (1d4+2/x2)
Full Attack: Scimitar +25/+20/+15 melee (1d6+2/15-20) or 4 Claws +25/+20/+15 melee (1d4+2/x2)
Full Attack (Multi-Weapon): 4 Scimitars +23/+23/+23/+23/+20/+17/+17/+17/+17/+15/+13/+13/+13/+13 melee (1d6+2/15-20)
Full Attack (Multi-Weapon + A Thousand Cuts): 4 Scimitar +23/+23/+23/+23/+23/+23/+23/+23/+20/+20/+17/+17/+17/+17/+17/+17/+17/+17/+15/+15/+13/+13/+13/+13/+13/+13/+13/+13 melee (1d6+2/15-20)

Special Qualities: Darkvision (60ft.), Wild Empathy, Movement Mastery, Slashling Blades, Elaborate Parry,
ResistancesSaves: Fort +6, Ref +25, Will +13

Skills: Balance +30, Hide +19 (+23 in Arid or Desert settings), Jump +62, Listen +8, Move Silently +18, Perform (Dance) +16, Spot +4, Tumble +31
Feats: Deflect Arrows [TK], Combat Expertise [1st], Improved Unarmed Strike [Mnk], Dodge [Mnk], Weapon Focus (Scimitar) [3rd], Mobility [Mnk], Track [Rng], Multi-Weapon Fighting [Rng], Weapon Finesse [6th], Spring Attack [Dv], Improved Critical (Scimitar) [9th], Improved Multi-Weapon Fighting [12th], Greater Multi-Weapon Fighting [15th]
Languages: Common, Thri-Keen
LA: +1
Challenge Rating: 17

So with that said, there are some different ways one can go about this sort of build. Initially a Warblade focusing on Tiger Claw maneuvers looks very good but perhaps a better approach is if you can break down what you exactly want to do & how you want to do it?

1. It is an adaptation.
2. It doesn't. MH and H are two completely different things as far as DnD is concerned.
3. A PsyWar Thri-kreen will do most of that.

2. No, it won't count.
3. No idea

Generally you want to post questions like this in the "Ask a simple question" thread.
