Lol, ogre groans and tries to maintain his footing -> d20 = 14, and near as I can tell, makes it.  Still, he's got ice under him.

Bugbear 1 takes a five-foot step to O 14 and attacks Ixen -> d20 + 5 = 10, and misses.

The ogre attempts to leave the ice -> d20 - 1 = 3, and he falls on his butt.  He stands up with his move action.

The fire on the bush starts moving in odd was for a fire, until it takes on a humanoidish shape. It then attacks the large creature before it, relishing the idea of burning anything.

1d20+3=7, 1d4+1d4=7

Ixen takes a 5ft step to P15, and then concentrates on keeping the spell going.

Assign the ele's dodge to the ogre, it has 16 ac, 9 hp.

The fire elemental misses.  The ogre looks worried, nonetheless.

Thorden casts Hail of Stone on the Ogre. Again. Cause it's funny.

1d4/caster level: 8 WOW, twice in a row... and yet my ranger is rolling 1's in another game... odd....

That's a 1/256 chance of doing that twice.  Nice.

The ogre attempts to dodge -> d20 = 19, and he takes half damage.

Bugbear 1 takes a five-foot step to O 14 and attacks Ixen -> d20 + 5 = 10, and misses.

Not that it changes anything, but this didn't happen, because BB1 went down after I thwomped it. :)
What it does change is that BB1 is not actually on the map anymore, so when I move I'll have no AoOs on me.[/spoiler]

Grizz switches to Martial Spirit stances, moves to R11 and strikes the Ogre with Stone Bones.

1d20(14)+4=18
2d4(1,2)+4=7 damage, I get DR 5/adamantine for a round, 4 THP, and heal 2.

The ogre gets knocked out!

After a bit of bad luck with Aeap, bugbear 3 charges to Q 19 and swings at Serias -> d20 + 7 = 16, and narrowly misses.

I thought about having the ogre throw, but it has a miserable attack rating with the javelins.

That was easier than I thought. What CR was that?
You mean EL of the encounter?  I've never been good with calculating EL of different creature types.  Ogres are CR 3 and bugbears are 2.  I didn't make any changes to the MM versions to their feats or equipment.  I think 3 bugbears are a bit over EL 4.

Bugbears make for tough monsters, but they aren't offensively very powerful.  I was hoping they'd endure while the ogre got in place to do some smacking.  You guys wisely kept out of arms reach of the ogre.

Something with a caster would have been better, but at the time I set up the encounter, I didn't have the time to actually stat up any NPCs.
