Peter, still wearing his bright crimson dragonhide themed armor, comes bounding down the stairs. One hand is holding his large shield at the ready, while the other is raised to his mouth in a pantomime of a horn. It is hard to make out over the sounds of the fight, but it almost sounds like he is making bugling noises into it. He crosses the common room to stand along the front wall, stopping between one of the windows and the defensive line formed by the hapless individuals trying to make a stand for their safety within the tavern.
Double move to O-4. Still hand-bugling Reveille. It's a shame I didn't have time to ward everyone before these events occurred, or this would have been slightly more ridiculous in execution than it is.
Longsword Rolls
Attack Roll 14, Damage 6 (Assuming a hit)
Slam Rolls
Attack Roll 5 Miss
The latest entry into the tavern is greeted by a mechanical grin before a longsword slashes across its abdomen. The Smith tries to kick it in the groin, but misses as the creature staggers back from the hit. Growling slightly, the Smith turns his body slightly to increase the cover from his large shield against the creature's inevitable retaliation as he recovers and sets up his next attack.

The figures already in the bar flail about some, but with no foreseeable outcome.

Meanwhile, three more figures enter the tavern. One heads to the left and runs into the table, and the other two go right, appearing to not even notice the canines.
1d2=2, 1d2=2, 1d20-2=0, 1d20-2=2, 1d20-2=5, 1d4+1=5, 1d4+1=4, 1d4+1=3

6, 7, 8 each draw an AoO from Smith and both canines.

I don't know if this sounds odd...but due to their animal intelligence/instincts, the canines have to attack the first, and then the others only if they have combat reflexes.

Smith 18.1
Mob 18
John 15
Harvdar 3
Eldon 2
Peter 1

John is up.
AOOs
Wolf(attack, damage, trip):

1d20+8=21, 1d6+4=7, 1d20+3=17

I agree with your assessment that wolf should AOO the first guy in, but for Frodo, since I can command him as a free action, I think I should be able to direct him to AOO the right guy. SO if you agree to this, Frodo will AOO the 2nd figure that enters (first one is probably on the floor, and won't be able to complete the rest of his movement). If not, AOO on the first dude as well.

1d20+3=12, 1d6+3=7, 1d20+2=15

"Putang ina mo!"

John is seemingly angry that a. our position is being overrun, and b. that Savnok won't stop referring to him as a little girl.

On a strange note, would anyone be put out if we had a post about people or events we can spare a thought for, or if its within their creed, a prayer for? Just a random thought, but ... hells I wouldn't have known about either Archangels daughter or Saeomons niece if I didn't happen to be on these threads.

Recalling his injury just moments before, Harvdar decided it was best to hack at he fallen figure one more time to be sure, cleaving it fully in two, just like the woman.

Behind the bar, the patrons must have found sufficient weapon like objects, as they started flinging stuff towards the door. Unfortunately, due to lack of training in a combat setting, they were highly inaccurate.

Empty mugs, partially full bottles, along with dishes come sailing over into the group at the door; one even hit Eldon upside the head.
1d20+7=17, 1d12+6=17

1d5=4, 1d20-2=14, 1d3+1=2 miss
1d5=2, 1d20-2=17, 1d3+1=4 hit Eldon, take 4 damage
1d5=3, 1d20-2=11, 1d3+1=2 miss
1d5=2, 1d20-2=7, 1d3+1=3 miss
1d5=5, 1d20-2=5, 1d3+1=2 miss

Eldon is up.
Bloody hell people. Watch your aim, goddamn it! Eldon shouts angrily toward the merchants in the back. Then to Smith Let's focus on the one that got through!

Eldon takes a 5ft. step to L7 to provide Smith with a flanking bonus, and will start fighting defensively.
Summoned wolf turns and pounces on 8.
Frodo keeps following his previous target (that's 7 I think).
Eldon (attack, damage)

1d20-11=8+2(flank)=10, 1d3-1=1(min damage)

Horrible as expected.

Wolf of Doom (attack, damage, trip)

1d20+8=17, 1d6+4=9, 1d20+3=12

Frodo (attack, damage, trip)

1d20+3=12, 1d6+3=9, 1d20+2=17

Just curious, how did that guy hit me? I assume he was aiming at the figures and not randomly.
.

Peter waggles his eyebrows, appearing to be thoroughly enjoying himself. Whether he is completely cracked is a thought that is mostly lost to the heat of the battle, especially since the battle heats up further when the tall man sucks in a deep breath, and then exhales fire that sticks to those it washes over.
Line of Fire, entangling exhalation, from O5 to O10. Damage is 1d3=1, Reflex save for half (DC 13). Anyone who takes damage is entangled, and will take another 1d6 fire damage each round at the beginning of my turn for 1d4=3 rounds.
Eldon swing goes wide of the figure, but his canines' attacks on the other hand sunk into their targets.

After Peter's display of fire power, fiery red ribbons cling to four of the figures.

Outside the windows, the smoke seems to be clearing somewhat, but is that truely for the best? Coming from the direction of the explosion comes figures in scorched armor and robes.

They all aimed at the figure, but as stated they are inexperienced and didn't take a -4 to ranged attacks to avoid allies.

1d20+1=16, 1d20+1=18 vs trips, passed

Unable to reduce the fire damage, so no reflexes.

I rechecked the shooting into melee rules in the PHB. I can find no mention that you can forgo the -4 penalty for a risk of hitting allies. Have you houseruled it like this, or there is actual text on this that I missed?

Taking advantage of his comrade in arms maneuver, Smith struck at the foe that had breached their defenses, but sadly missed.

Their is a mass of bodies moving around now, and one of them scores a hit on the wolf, while another squeezes past Smith's guard to land a bite.

A loud banging can be heard from the kitchen, which is followed by a scream and the half-elf serving girl running out of it, almost colliding with John.

Meanwhile outside, the newly revealed figures are getting closer.

"Fuck, it seems we are being surrounded. We probably should move to a more defensible position; sadly, I don't think there are any..."

John's eyes start glistening as he shouts to Harvdar,

"Barkeep, how are there any hidden boltholes here? For that matter, what are all the entrances to this place?"

Replies Harvdar as he moves to engage some more foes. His swing strikes down another figure.

The patrons lob a few more items, but you can see clearly on their faces that they are scared, very scared.

Not sure we can hold them here...maybe we should make a run for the first floor Eldon reflects, mostly to himself, but loud enough to be heard by the others.

He then directs Frodo and the summons to attack 8, while he waves his fist around the figure (fights defensively and hes horrible at it).
Handle animal for Frodo sucess, attack misses horribly as expected.

Wolf of Doom (attack, damage, trip)

1d20+8=22, 1d6+4=5, 1d20+3=16

wolf of doom has 3 daage taken, and 2 rounds left.

The figures standing just inside the door continue to have small patches of napalm clinging to them, but not anywhere near enough for Peter, as he sucks in another deep breath and breathes a fuller flame over the attackers before shouting over the sounds of battle "So what are these things?

Even though Peter knows he is breathing his hardest, the figures give no reaction to his attack.

Smith swings at the foe that had hit him and hits it square in the face, leaving a large gash.

The sea of bodies start to move again, even the one Harvdar knocked down. Two get mouthfuls of Frodo's armor, but are unable to penetrate, while two of them score hits on the wolf, which dissipates.
