My name is Massam, I learned how to play with 3.5, and know my way around a few other D20 systems.  I often play a character mostly to act as them.  I'm going to school to act, so the idea of ROLE playing games and i kinda hit it off.  I do usually wind up a Dm favorite though as i have a tendency to interact with everything we come across, npc, or set piece.  And don't get me started on my love for sorcerer's.  I came to you guys though for two things.  I love listening to the broadcasts, and I hoped you could help me with a fairly specific problem.  I'll be asking the question in the "when inspiration strikes." board!

Hi, everyone!

Jim Crocker here. I've been gaming since about age 10 (early 40s now), and currently am the owner of a comics and game shop in Western MA called Modern Myths. By the time most of you read this, I'll probably already have moved to Tarrytown, NY in Westchester County where the plan is to open a second shop.

My gaming taste runs the gamut from the most main of stream to obscure indie/story games still in playtest. I've been lucky enough over the years to have met a lot of industry folks, had a few things published, and been allowed to sit in on a whole lot of great games. With some help from other indie gamers, I helped organize and run the first (of hopefully many more) 'Indie Games on Demand' event at Origins 2011.

I'm pretty big on transparency, and happy to openly discuss most aspects of my business with anyone interested. I've heard glowing reviews of the Gameologist events in and around Boston, so I decided to (finally) see what-all got talked about here.

Thanks,

-Jim Crocker (Leftahead/Lefty)

Hey everyone.  Mark Miller here.  I've been off and on with DND for the last 5 or 6 years and love it to death.  Trying to get back in it.

Hi.

My name is Drammor. I'm making a couple roleplaying games from the ground up. I make D&D characters when I need a break from ... making... roleplaying games.

And apparently need a life. Or! A really good distraction from the notion that I don't have one. Like making D&D characters. :D

Hi. I'm 24. Been playing D&D since 2nd edition with my big bro, and started when I was three years old.

My current group calls me "the rules lawyer" because I have so much memorized (and no, I'm not a jerk about it, I wait to be asked). My desktop background was, at one point the Col. Klink Rules Lawyer DeMotivational.

Otherwise, I'm just a geek that spends to much time playing games, reading webcomics, reading books, etc.

Hail, traveler. Your eyes have the weight of one who has come far to be in this place.  :ninja

I am *known* as Chaotic-Goth1431, or more commonly as Adrian or A.R. I played D&D back when I was around twelve but that annoying monstrosity known as life got in my way. Between school, losing my dad at fifteen, work and college, I was too poor to purchase the books and eventually forgot how to play. I had no friends who were interested in D&D (from what faint memories I retained from that time in my life) at all until seven years ago, when I met my best friend. After life finally settled a bit, he asked me if I would like to be co-DM in his campaign he was starting with his fiance, a nice guy who happened to be a complete novice to PnP at that time. It's been a year and a half and our crazy trio (a tiefling-blooded barbarian, a human paladin and a githzerai rogue) hasn't looked back. Sadly, we've only been able to meet up a few times since my best friend and his fiance are working full time and I have limited modes of transportation. I came to this forum hoping to find a means of improving my skill as a DM and as a player in PBP games.

I'll warn everybody right now: I have a memory proscessing disorder so for the love of Zerthimon and Gith don't call me a noob if I forget something.

( +1 internets granted to anyone who spotted the quote)

Hi,

I'm just a regular dude into DnD (or is it D&D, sometimes I never know). I've been into DnD for about 3 years or so and still haven't gotten to play any high-level campaigns. However, after reading around and forum surfing (or lurking if you prefer) I've decided to actually join a forum. This forum because it seems like here people actually might know something. I'm currently in the long process of trying to fix some of the class balance issues (which I know is almost impossible but still fun for me) and hope to play 3.5 DnD for a very long time still.
4e tried to fix this problem by toning it all down by a lot and eliminating the wild card spells that were too powerful or dynamic. The issue is no one likes to go from Phenomenal Cosmic Power to itty bitty living space. Which is exactly what 4e tried to force on people.

Hey folks. Name's Joe. I've been lurking these forums for quite a while and decided it was time to participate in them as well. I used to haunt the old Wizards boards, gave up D&D for a while, and came back to find them essentially decimated and the thriving CO community largely relocated to right here. I've been playing 3.5 since it came out, and with the advent of 4.0 have begun adopting Pathfinder rules as a means of keeping my favorite system a living, changing thing.

Other relevant things? I'm into coffee, just post-college with my focus in religious studies and ancient textual criticism. Additionally, I'm immortal, I have a brain the size of a planet and I look incredible.

Hiya!

My name is Epistethi. I joined the forum in 2009...but didn't do too much w/ it. It's now 2011, living in So'FLO, and starting up a D & D group down here- that starts today actually!

I am a Christian. (Don't freak...I won't prosthelytize on the boards. Just introducing myself :D ) I'm a college student (philosophy major). Hope to teach at the collegiate level and pastor later on in life. Right now though...I'm enjoying DM'ing for a group of misfits. It's the good life.

Let's talk sometime.

:bigeye  This post will never be read.  There are 53 pages of introductions.  What the dang.

Well I guess I'm safe saying whatever then.  Even the truth!

I'm new to being registered, but no stranger to these boards or the podcasts.  I'm just lazy.  Male.  Married.  Kiddo on the way.  Sometimes DM.  Playing an Artificer in a non-Eberron campaign a buddy's running.  Kipling on Myth-Weavers.  That's about all the relevence I can muster.

Name is dave. I play a lot of games, including tabletop (warmachine and WHFB) a little bit of MtG, and assorted GW specialist games as well as Malifaux. DnD brought me into gaming years ago, I played a lot of 2nd ed, and some 3 and 3.5 in the USMC. it has been a while but I am back into the DnD swing.

Long-time lurker and wannabe optimizer here :) I used to frequent the CO and TO boards at wizards by the name of Webninja and also have an account at GitP(same forum name). I love D&D 3.5 and past editions and have a burning hatred for anything 4th edition related. I also played a lot of WW titles and am getting started on GURPS. :) So, just your average nerd guy.

Hi!
From the nice little land called Finland. Live in Helsinki. Rpg career started as 16 years ago. Cthulhu, Paranoia, Cyberpunk, some other future games but mostly 2nd and 3-3,5 d&d. Some tabletops to, but never owned an army. Been lurking for a while now and got some inspiration from the boards for a few builds and now I need to make some simple questions.

The group I play in/with doesnt care for powergaming or any kind of optimazion.  I`m happy if they remember their bab correctly, (bonuses to hit? forget it). But we are having fun.  :D

Loosing my sanity one book at a time.  (Becouse books should NOT be burnt! Not even Mythos books. :smirk)

Now I need an avatar. Halp!

There are no free Snails.
