Greetings.

I am a person who enjoys elaborate ideas, haphazard plans, breaking games, and having fun doing it. Generally, I lurk around plenty and throw around a few precious words when I feel they are truly necessary.

Hello all.  Just getting back in to D&D after a hiatus of a few years caused by moving away from my gaming group.  I look forward to seeing the answers for my questions, and I hope I can be of some help to others.

My name is PinkMagus, though you could probably figure that out from my name. I've dabbled in Shadowrun, but mostly play "Anima: Beyond Fantasy" (Which is an amazing system) and DnD 3.5. I've never been good at game breaking, building, or the such, and I like to have my cake an eat it too (Roleplay & Combat).

I hope I can have a good time on these boards and possibly even get into a game (Though I might not be as optimized as others :x).

As for how I got here, I was looking for FFT Dragoon styled setup and found the Little Red Raiding Hood thread. Needless to say the DM of that game now hates the Tome of Battle (Which he calls "The Book of Weeaboo Fightan Magic").

The ToB is a wonderful book that I very frequently use, but often times I feel a little bad about it. It's definitely an odd man out.

Hello everyone.

Didn't realize I should have posted an introduction here first.  Allow me to correct that terrible oversight.

I'm in my late 30's, live in the middle of the US, and have a wife, 2.5 kids and 2 dogs.  I was a computer programmer for 15 years or so, until I got tired of the high stress lifestyle.  Moved, changed careers...  life is soooo much better now.  I almost never work late anymore, and I own my own business.  Woot!

I've been seriously gaming like... for forever.  Not just D&D, although I started with the Red Box.  Today I run a 3.5 game that you can read about in Hallack's Life and Art of Beguiling   thread and I get to play in a couple of other games that alternate every other week.  I've played 4E and it's a different game altogether.  I like it... it's just different.

I tried other gaming systems, some mainstream.. some not so much....  and I keep coming back to D&D.  Well, never really left it, you know?

The only MMO I play is Guild Wars.  Love the game.  My wife loves the game.  Kids ditto.  Haven't played WoW and probably never will.  Just seems wrong to have to pay a monthly fee to play a game you've already purchased.

I'm also a big-time strategy board gamer.  Games like Chess, Axis & Allies, Samari Swords, Fortress America, Settlers of Catan, Race to the Galaxy, Agricola, Warrior Knights, Twilight Imperium... the list goes on and on.  I literally have an entire closet full of these games.  All I can say is thank god my wife is a gamer too!

You've probably figured out by now that my avatar is not just an Arthurian reference.  I used to really be into playing chess.  A lot.

I've enjoyed the discussions that I've participated in so far and hope to contribute more in the future.  And for those that have helped me out by taking some time and answering some of my questions... thanks!

Cheers.

Hallo!  I'm a recovering wizards board member who needs a new home.  I loves my D&D 3.5, and am sure I'll be busy on the boards plenty.

So hiya!  I'm home!

Hello, my name is Deadlevel and I'm a fledgling optomizerholic.

I recently got into min/maxing for D&D although I've played it for 6 years now. My first played class was a CW samurai. Crazy I know but I loved being a samurai.

Through these boards I hope I am able to expand my knowledge of the D&D universe and the customization that comes with it.

Hi, I'm Periden

I joined out of curiosity, and a burning desire to learn more about character building.  I've been playing 3.5 D&D for about three years now, my freshman year of uni and in all that short amount of time, I've never really put too much thought into optimizing, my first character was a pure 17th level ranger...  But I got curious and wanted to expand out and see what interesting characters I could make.

My name's Connor, online alias Condawg. I've always been interested in gaming, ever since I was a youngin'. I've recently grown more and more love for RPGs and an interest in tabletop games, but I've yet to experiment much with any of it.

Hey, I'm Talbot. I'm generally known for trying to force Film Noir tropes and archetypes into my roleplaying games, much to the delight and/or chagrin of my DM/other players.

Hello guys and gals, I'm a professional board lurker, and long time gamer. I started with this madness back when ELF was a CLASS not a race, and I'm still not too old to pretend.

A couple of water benders, a dike, a flaming arrow, and a few barrels of blasting jelly?

Sounds like the makings of a gay porn film.
...thanks

Guess, alongside Tshern, I have to say that I am also back, after an extended absence. Though people kinda got that already.  :P

Everything I learned about DnD I learned from Frank Trollman at The Gaming Den... but nowadays, my work space is the New DnD Wiki.

Check them both out!

Wow, lots of new people posting here. Welcome to the boards!

I hope one more won't bother you :D.

My name is Nick - I know, that was quite a stretch with the username.

I am relatively new to PnP roleplaying.  A group of friends and myself recently became burnt out on MMOPRGs and decided to start playing D&D 3.5.  At the moment I am here to basically learn as much as possible about DMing and running entertaining games.  I have a little experience.  To learn the 3.5 combat rules, we all rolled level 1 characters and did arena battles over and over.  We progressed our characters to level 20 through these battles just to get an idea of what the future would have in store.  Now that we all have a good understanding how the game is supposed to played, we are ready to start a real campaign.

So expect to see me lurking and soaking up information and posting a lot of questions.  It would be nice to pick up a few friends along the way!
