Q241 If an StP erudite manifests Mental Pinnacle. Does he simply gain extra power points for CL rounds? If so, will combining this with bestow power give you a recharge mechanism?
A241
no... not in the ordinary sense, since the Spell has this clause: "For the duration of this spell, you use magic items and psionic items as if you were a psion with only the five powers given above on your class list."

Bestow Power is not one of them ....

 :D

This is why you manifest it on your PSICRYSTAL.
It uses your bestow power on you. (See manifesting from another's powers known.)

Nice trick!
Read, every day, something no one else is reading. Think, every day, something no one else is thinking. Do, every day, something no one else would be silly enough to do. It is bad for the mind to be always part of unanimity.

Question 246

Using a base of a Kobold Expert 1 with the feats Magical Training and Dragonwrought, are there any ways to somehow sneak into actual sorcerer spellcasting when using Loredrake shenanigans and such?

The above trick does not work. Bestow Power is not on the Psycrystal/Pinnacle's power list, thus causing the Psicraft check to automatically fail. See manifesting an unknown power from another powers known for more details.

Maybe you can share thieving mindlink with your psicrystal.

Sharing Thieving Mindlink with your psicrystal to give it Bestow Power? Fancy, and it should work as long as you can get your psicrystal into a form that is affecting by mind-affecting. (Although I seem to recall a passage somewhere that indicated that creatures could lower their inbuilt racial immunities towards harmless spells or something.) Due to the targeting intricacies, you may need to have another character with Bestow Power nearby to steal it from, rather than yourself. Mindlink has the targeting line of "You and one other willing creature within range that has an Intelligence score of 3 or higher", so I'm not positive if you can target yourself when you share it to the psicrystal.

Location feats? Do you mean Regional feats? Or is it feats that you can get from magical locations?

Q248: Is there a link somewhere to a guide for melee equipment? I've looked at Bunko's Bargain Basement, but too general. I'm looking for sort of "Bread and butter items by level." Things a melee character needs to survive: Flight, other abilities, deathward after a certain level, freedom of movement after a certain level, etcetera. I checked handy links already.

This is 4e/SWSE.  It is not in the 3.5e ruleset at all.
Like I said. It's all I know, and I've yet to be in a group that doesn't use that rule.

Heavens forbid that your groups become the reference for D&D. ;-)
Are you kidding? My groups are what legends are made of.   :eh :rollseyes

BTW, still needing these answered...

Quote
Q 182 Are there any templates to add to a golem that can't be advanced anymore? In particular, add-ons to help give a golem something that WotC forgot to give it? Like spikes, or natural attacks, or a gore attack. I'm referring to the rune golem, which attacks with a basic medium-sized spear (not even a masterwork one), despite the fact that it has tusks and antlers, and has spines all over its body, and is LARGE size. Bravo WotC.

Q 183 Under the "Improving Monsters" section, if I add two domains and their spells to a creature that don't help it in combat, is that +1 CR each, or just +1 CR?

Q 222 Is there a way for an arcane user to use divine spells at a low level, without taking Arcane Disciple because the alignment will not match the deity's?

A182) Well, you can put on soulfused construct (magic of incarnum) and then add various templates to the living construct, then dustform it to turn it back to nonliving construct.  You could also just use insectile or whatever, ignoring typical restrictions (wizards does it on their website all the time).

A183) I'd say just +1 CR.

A222) Arcane disciple doesn't give you divine spells?  Just spells off a domain list.  What spells do you want?

A222: If you want to cast your arcane spells as divine for qualification purposes and other funky stuff, Southern Magician and Alternate Spell Source will work for you. If you're looking to add specific spells to your arcane spellcaster's list that only appear as divine, you might be able to get them through Planar Touchstone (catalogs of enlightenment). That gives you a single domain's power and the ability to cast one of the domain's spells 3 times (total, not per day, although you can recharge the uses by spending a week traveling the planes or something). I'm not sure if your or your deity's alignment has to match the domain you get, though.

Note that Southern Magician doesn't qualify you for being able to cast arcane or divine.  It's in one of the FAQs from the Book of Heavily Debated Topics that got baleeted.

I'll have to take a look at the soulfused. That might work, but we'll see. I found one since asking this question, but I don't want the golem to be CE.

Just +1 CR for the two domains?

Right, sorry. The domain spells. I need Healing spells for a psion/beguiler.

I'd say just +1 CR.  Healing domain sucks pretty hard.

LOW level. As in, less than 10th. Around 5th would be great.

There's a chain of three feats from dragon which give you a turn/day and divine orisons.
divine channeler/ god touched / minor divine spellcaster
That should work.  If it's a villain and you're short on feats, just make 'em tainted bonus feats, or granted by a particularly generous elder evil

This might shock you, but it's for a PC. A friend of mine who's writting a book (about 54 chapters so far) has never played D&D and wanted to use her characters from her story for the introduction. I'm kind of glad she didn't write Harry Potter or Twilight. At least these characters are doable once you manipulate things well enough. The character will have a single flaw to help with the feats. Arcane Disciple would have been so much easier, but the character is CN and the deity is LG. I'll look the feats up though. Thanks.
