Q123: Does Kelpstrand work in an AMF?  My first inclination is no, but I'd love to be wrong.

It is Conjuration: Creation, yes?

Yes it does.
It's Conjuration (Creation), but not Instantaneous, so no, it does not.  It must be an Instantaneous Conjuration spell to work in an AMF.
With liberal interpretation, one could argue that a conjuration that makes non-magical matter results in matter unaffected by an AMF. That's pretty liberal, though.

More specifically, it must be a Conjuration (Creation) effect cast OUTSIDE the AMF itself. If the duration is instantaneous or permanent, it is NOT suppressed, regardless of nature.

Q 127 I'm reading a lot about druids, rangers, and nature beings who wear a "crown of antlers". You even see them on a couple of the druid minis. Do they actually do anything? Is there an artifact, or magic item to represent them? Or are they just decoration?

That was unfortunately anti-climactic.

Q 128 Got an interesting scenario here that requires a template. The person was Herne the Hunter (you can google him). He was stabbed by a stag, but was revived by having the antlers of that stag molded to his head. He was ostracized by his peers and hung himself, then came back as a ghost to ride and hunt forever. However, his curse came with an interesting add-on that he could turn corporeal. Does D&D have a template that could be added to a human that would make them ghost-like (ie shift between corporeal and incorporeal) at-will?

Q 129 The bloodlines from UA. If you put that on a creature, what would the CR be for them? CR +0 (minor) to +2 (major)?

128: the ghost template

129: 0, because they add class levels.

Sometimes, their tits (3.5) get enhancements (houserules), but that doesn't mean people don't like nice tits.

Though sometimes, the surgeon (DM) botches them pretty bad...

Revision. What if the creature is the BBEG? Like a dragon with sorcerer levels, or an evil druid, or a harpy harbinger?

As said before, they count as class levels. Use that adjustment to determine the CR change (+1/2 for nonassociated, +1 for associated).

And before you ask, I'd suggest that bloodline levels be considered nonassociated unless you're pulling off some kind of cheese with them (like building crazy caster levels or double-boosting binder levels or something like that).

I guess it depends on how you look at it because it doesn't add spells for casters, but it does help in other ways. And considering what you get, rounding down is still the norm, correct?

Q130: Is there some kind of vampire like weapon ability or spell that heals you when you make a crit? I'm looking specifically for something crit-based because I'm making a max-crit character.

Q 131
This one concerns Imbue Summoning + Necrotic Cyst   (hey, it does say "range of touch" :devil)

If I use Necrotic Burst or something on my summoned creatures, does that still subject all in radius to subsequent Necrotic Cysts, and does the Skulking Cyst still stay around?

If you stop ignoring 289 pages telling what the intent is to stretch "more power" in your own god complexion of your interpretation trumps all to cover ability adjustments from aging then I will ignore a quarter page of rules that exist within a sidebar.
I think in this case the grammar is less important than whether the Str and Dex bonus provided to your created undead scales.

This, and IIRC there is an overpowered one in the Arms and Equipment Guide, or something like that. (Or was it Enemies and Allies, or something else obscure?)

Enemies and Allies has this masterpiece. So broken I don't think I've ever seen it used. Reminds me of Starmantle Cloak and Retributive Amulet, both from BoED.

That's the one. :D It doesn't even have to be a crit. I'd forgotten that part.  :lol

I've seen it used in crazy arena matches on the old WotC boards, but never outside of that. In a game full of optimized casters, I think this would be fine to give the party BSF, actually...

Q132 Psion 20 with Leadership and a Fiend of Possesion cohort. Can the Psicrystal take over physical action, the Fiend of Possesion control his own mental actions and the psion take his own mental actions? Or does the FoP's action overtake the psions?

Q133: if something is polymorphed to another type, can it then be healed by means that would not normally affect it? for instance, a psicrystal, metamorphed to an orc, would a cure spell affect it then?

I think this needs a bit more explanation... I assume you mean that the Fiend of Possession is currently possessing the psion, and the psion has manifest both Control Body and Solicit Psicrystal?

If so... I don't think so. If the FoP is possessing the psion, then the psion can't take any actions, mental or otherwise. The FoP could possess a piece of his equipment instead, though... If the FoP can relinquish control temporarily to the psion, then the psion could take mental actions, but I assume this would require some kind of action on the FoP's part (I forget how that works...).

Q133: if something is polymorphed to another type, can it then be healed by means that would not normally affect it? for instance, a psicrystal, metamorphed to an orc, would a cure spell affect it then?
Yes, since Polymorph changes your type.

Q 134 Is my math right? Stat enhancing item being imbued with Summon Nature's Ally IV at CL 18 only 2/day is spell lvl 4 x caster level 18 x 2000 / 5 x 2 = 57600 (ie 28800 per charge).

A 134: Your price is correct. Note that you can save 10% by making it command word activated instead of use activated (SL x CL x 1800 instead of SL x CL x 2000)

Q 114 Anyone know what Dragon magazine it was that had a variant shadow half-dragon in it? It did 2 negative levels, and had wings even at medium size. I think it was a 3.0 template. Can't remember.
[/quote]
I went through just about every one of my magazines, and finally found it. It's 3.5 and it's issue 322. It can do 2 negative levels, but it's 1d2.

Q111:

Is there a weapon that (1) has reach and (2) has a crit range of 18 - 20 ?
Talenta Sharrash, iirc, ECS

Talenta Sharrash is 19 - 20/x2

Any that is 18 - 20?
