Mirror image is overrated as a defense.  A level 1 commoner can defeat it with a 10 gp acid flask.

How does a level 1 commoner get a 10gp acid flask when he gets 1cp/day? :P

Wait... what? I thought Acid Flasks would be like an area effect spell, and so Mirror Image ignores it?

Nope, they're a attack that effects an area, but not an "area spell".

In that case, I am doubly glad I carry 5-10 flasks of lantern oil on me at all times at low level to help get rid of swarms...

There's a reason I consider telekinesis to be a pretty decent anti-caster attack.  Depending upon your ammo, you can counteract the majority of "I don't need AC" defensive spells, and still have damaging attacks to spare.

I use it to grapple. Game over for the caster...

Because they don't come standard with FoM?

Anyways, only the actual thrown flask counts as an attack. The splash damage is just splash damage. So you might pop one, but that's about it.

Sunic may be more abrasive than sandpaper coated in chainsaws (not that its a bad thing, he really does know what he's talking about), but just posting in this thread without warning and telling him he's an asshole which, if you knew his past experiences on WotC and Paizo is flat-out uncalled for. Never mind the insults (which are clearly 4Chan-level childish). You say people like Sunic are the bane of the internet? Try looking at your own post and telling me you are better than him.

Here's a fun fact: You aren't. By a few leagues.

It's still an attack.  Unless you're going to argue that magic missile doesn't count as an attack.  Or lightning bolt.

Not the ones I've fought against, with one exception (that DM finally learnt his lesson with regards to grapples; too bad FoM doesn't help against drowning...). I generally don't encounter an enemy wizard ready and waiting for my party to turn up.
