Melkior doesn't take much heed the the offensive comment about his species, he knows their defects.

There is also the option that the corpse does not want to speak with you because Roryn Stoneshield probably was good, and/or probably was lawful, and thus simply resisted your spell with the former will of it's possessing soul. Or whatever item you used was considered contaminated enough by demonic influence. Melkior continues.

Also, I'm curious as to what you want to divine from this dwarf, if not ressurecting him, but perhaps we should start ressurecting him, so you can get on with your questioning? Summoning a Solar perhaps wouldn't be the best cause of action right now though, since it would probably slay the lot of you, so instead we should find another way of ressurecting him?

The next two doors take you outside (Area 7), and the other door (Room 11) leads to what looks like a ballroom, and in the corner sits a beautifully crafted masterwork harp made of an exotic wood and various gems.[/spoiler]

Unimpressed with the lot, the death knight merely shakes his head.

"This is why I hate humans. I read nothing of your mind. I merely stated that someone of your caliber, ie you were called upon by the Hunter's Wealth as well, that you would know what spell I cast. Unless I am mistaken, you are a mage of some kind. Therefore, you'd know what I cast, regardless of whether it was me doing it, or my using a vessel to do it through. Letting go of the dwarf's hands, he turns slightly to stare at Melkior.

"There is that option, yes. However, not all of us detect as evil. There's a spell for that too. Besides, Roryn wouldn't stay dead for an old friend. Not unless he wanted to come out and play because he didn't want to say hi to the man he killed. But, that would be impossible since it'll be a week before I can do that. And again, I reiterate. You missed what I said before."

With a smile, he glances up at Melkior.

"I said, Guess that means you don't get to learn what you're facing off against.'"

The bar-lgura, who was readied, casts Cloudkill. Karr, who was also readied, teleports himself and Van out of the Cloudkill radius, but you don't see them reappear.

[spoiler]The Cloudkill will get Raynor, Melkior, and Dez. Make Fort saves.[/spoiler]
[spoiler]Melkior, you were also readied, so you can take a swing at Van, who have a +2 cover from Karr, who had purposely put arms and hands in a position to do that.[/spoiler]

Dez's initiative: 1d20(15)+15=30
Rezzik's Initiative: 1d20(7)+23=30
So, Rezzik acts before Dez.

And I suppose I may as well roll some spellcraft checks so they know what spells were just cast and to figure out if the reason the demons didn't reappear is because of someone's Anticipate Teleportation or not (I'll guess that's about 3 checks each; cloudkill, teleport, possible spells delaying teleport):
Dez's checks: 40, 44, 46
Rezzik's checks: 54, 42, 49

Whatever order of the spells you want to compare against is fine. Let me know if you need more rolls.

[spoiler]Guys, guys, please. We're not waiting for everyone to post their initiative before taking actions? Each of our turns could affect further ones, especially with casters a-plenty. I'm planning on having Rezzik cast Haste, by the way, so any melee combatants in the party in our room will get that cast on them.

By the way, I don't remember seeing any references to any of them being a balor.[/spoiler]

On his turn, Rezzik casts Haste, affecting all of his allies in range. He then moves to just north of where Melkior stands. [spoiler](If the Bar-lgura acts hostile, ie: performs any attack or anything but move, Rezzik will cast Hesitate on the Bar-lgura. Will DC 25 negates; Caster level check to overcome SR: 1d20(7)+22=29  :bigeye)[/spoiler]

once it gets to my turn I'll unleash hell on an whatever enemy I think is the bigger threat based on what has happened that round.

[spoiler]You have to make a DC 30 caster check. If you fail, you do not get your summons to work. This must be done each time you try to use Summon Monster, Summon Nature's Ally, or Gate over the course of the entire game.[/spoiler]
