Just a reminder for anyone who summons, any time you cast a spell that'll bring someone or something here, you have to roll a Spellcraft check. For whatever reason, whenever your character casts a summoning spell, they feel like there's some kind of blockage preventing them from automatically succeeding.

Just a qusetion because of something you said in the IC thread.....
If we roll a 1 in a skill check do we autofail?
Bacause by the raw you don't autofail in a skillcheck by rolling a natural 1...
Yeah, I should explain that. This is the one and only exception to the rule that skill checks can't autofail or autocrit. It's something I stole from WotC a dimension building mechanic they used in a Dungeon module. Think of it as an opposing check, and I rolled a 1. If you roll a 1 as well, it goes in my favour.
Allright ,I just was curious....
In any case it does not affect me as my character can't summon......
No, it's cool. A 30 DC isn't much for someone who knows what they're doing, but that's what it worked out to. If a deity like Demogorgon can't make the DC any higher than that, then there's no way I could increase that for this campaign. That'd just be plain unfair.

Letting you guys know now that I won't be here tomorrow. Got another friend's funeral to go to. December was a rough month.

Sorry, but forget everything I said about the spellcraft check when summoning. I thought something was up after the conversation regarding the natural 1. I had just gone with it, but it's something else that's the exception to the rule, that you guys may or may not come across much, much later. I just looked over my notes but I doubt it'll change anything for Melkior other than being a lot closer to a near fail.

It's NOT a spellcraft check. It's a caster level check. You have to beat caster level DC 30 for summoning spells to function. Unless you're using Gate, in which case it's 40 (which I had changed from "automatically negated"). So it's CL+1d20. My apologies. We'd been on hiatus for a while so I'd forgotten a chunk of it, but still had a bit of residual left. Apparently I blended them together.

Also, I ended up catching the flu so I didn't go to the funeral yesterday. Quite unfortunate.

It's Dez and Rez, and then Lia, for anyone wondering.

Sorry, had work today or I would've acted sooner. Is there an updated map for round 3? There was a lot of movement.

No worries, not to rush you or anything. I just wanted to have a better idea of where everyone is so I don't screw anything up during my turn.

Since I've left it for so long, I have to go through all the old posts, and PM some people, because some things aren't correct, and even I have to double check on everything.

Map's updated. Double check it to make sure I didn't miss anything. If it still looks like the old map, give it a couple of minutes to refresh.

Could I bother you to put the map into the map thread, so I don't have to go hunting for it?

Let me guess, I put the wrong link in there.

And whoever put it up, what was the DC for those Prismatic Walls?

The one thing I think you forgot on the map was that you didn't move Rezzik. He moved through the doors in the back, and I don't believe he got much farther than that back room.

I was re-reading the thread, but I didn't see that. I'll move that. What "back room"? I'm not thinking the bathroom, but maybe the room that Lia was in that leads the courtyard?

Yeah. By back, I mean the one farthest from the front door. If you were looking into the house, that one would be the "back room."

Remember the whole debacle over my trying to go through the very big barbarian, and how I decided to instead go through the other doors. I'm not sure if I even could have gotten into the room since I think I was the one who had to open it, unless Raynor had. Otherwise I guess that puts Rezzik right next to the double doors at the east end of the cloud-filled room.

Yeah I remember that now. Just because it was easier, I gave you a couple of extra steps. You're outside, and safe from everything.

The save DC was 27, remember to test for each of them. There are two walls in each.

Also, are all the demons immune to mind affecting effects?

Because Alkazar hit all of them with his ID insinuation with a DC 28 Will save http://www.d20srd.org/srd/psionic/powers/idInsinuation.htm
