As I've posted a few other times before, my best friend is the singer/guitar player in a really great oldschool punk/garage rock band.
Their MySpace page is HERE (http://www.myspace.com/thejolts).
Their Facebook page is HERE (http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Jolts/21541722599?ref=ts).
They have a music video: Born Speedin' (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m_gUnH9Yfmc)
And a couple live videos from their cross-Canada tour in '09 can be found HERE (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R4uhghtboEA) and HERE (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hkzeBB9V-qk) as well as an older recording (with much better sound quality) at a local Vancouver bar HERE (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S0w7Ei2rtIg).
If you like good old-fashioned rock'n'roll, or Ramonesy punk rock, go check 'em out!

Update on The Jolts:
This fall/winter they played a couple of really good shows, including opening for oldschool punk veterans D.O.A. at the best mid-sized venue in Vancouver, and then on Nov 11th, they opened for The Misfits!
The Kaminari Lovers 7" vinyl should be out in the next few months, and starting next year they'll start recording the next full-length album.

Oh hey! Awesome. How did I miss this before?

You can also find 'em on facebook if you don't use MySpace. I'll update the links in the first post.

Over the past two days, I've been hammering out a wikipedia article about Vancouver's best punk rock band:

-
3rd album has been recorded and is currently in post-production!
-
Found a new live video of The Jolts playing DXM (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cFzXck77Dcw) on YouTube.

Holy crap, it's been a while!
About 2 weeks ago, the new Jolts album, titled 8%, was released on Sudden Death Records.
You can find the first half of the tracks on the Jolts Reverb Nation (http://www.reverbnation.com/thejolts)page.
